Not sure about your bell housing, but do you have any time comparison from befor you put the lt1 intake on? Just curious what kind of a gain you got from the intake itself.

Could be just too much power Or could be there were small cracks there before that went unnoticed. Especially if the bolts got overtorqed. Look on the bright side, now you can get a tougher bell housing and be NHRA approved
Mid 12's though, nice.

Nice times, sorry to hear about the bell houseing. What tires were you running to cut that 1.6 60ft? Do you have any time from before the LT1 that were in the same conditions? What is your setup(heads, cam, TB, is it a stroker, gears, stall rpm)?

That is a pretty cool setup. I like your exhaust setup and also the fact that you ran mid 12's on a stock 48mm TB. What is the world coming to?

I have a SR that I am going to put on and I am keeping the stock TB as well. I will be happy right now with high 12's....

I wonder when it becomes a liability though in power...

It would be interesting to see back to back performance trials with a 48, 52, and 58 mm TB on that motor.

Im pretty sure the 48mm Is Plenty

stock throttle body

I had a budy that ran low 12's on stock throttle body on motor with a 406. I just don't think the throttle body is a great deal for what little it helps. overated in my opinion

that was funny when you stated that it was a BOTTLENECK.
Not that it isn't, but I told my buddy that was an engineer when I read that. He laughed and we looked at the profile. (engineering student) I figured so

good times man, glad to see someone do that on a lt1 intake.

I'm running one on my 406. I'm running 8.55's with the combo on 275 nittos.(1/8th mile) I still have a few bugs to work out.
Your pulling about 3 miles an hour more than me. I'm fixen to install a 10" converter about 3500 stall. Thinking about shifting at 6000 instead of 5400.

I hope to get down there with you soon.
