go to coles or some big bookstore and look for a book called "AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGIES" IT should be in the 3rd edition now. This is probably ur best bet to start off. I know they use this book at Centennial College, and I obtained mine from my high school auto teacher. He's now a teacher at the college. the books are really good to use to learn at home. there isn't too much of a difference between the 2nd and 3rd editions. But make sure u get one and read it over and over. And after doing that, u should be pretty confident. Do u want to become a technician (mechanic) as a career? Then take some auto courses, get a job at a shop and u'll be on the road to success.
Hoped this helped.
