First off, is it really a V-4?

I don't see putting on just a turbo for an '86 Celica doing too much to beat you, what kind of boost is he running, and my other question why an '86 Celica of all cars.

What I mean is finding a V-4 is extremely rare, because most 4 cylinders aren't in a V shape that's where the V comes in. Most of the time they're just 4 cylinders, just clarifying some confusion.

its not a V4. I dont know of any production cars using V4's, and if anyone was to do it, it certainly wouldn't be the Japanese. It is most likely an inline 4. You will win, those 80's Celicas are dogs. Good Luck

Hey man you have a v-8. You will kick his but man. If he has a turbo he has no down low. Hit the light just right and you'll smoke him off the line then let up...and just say it wasn't worth it.

The only thing that I know has a v4 is a motorcycle,
An 86 celica with the stock turbo still has no uumph, and it sure is but ugly, there only threating in the 16 second range with some mods including a measly upgraded turbo, most likely run in the 17's being that old with "decent" upkeep

Mmmm, Jessica Rabbit ^^^

I remember reading in a recent magazine some car that is supposed to be coming out with a V4 or a past car, can't remember exactly, pretty sure it was foreign.

Yea the V-4 was for dune buggies & the sort. I think it was a 318 chopped in half or something of that nature.

Imagine THAT! I wish I had the bragging rights of beating one of those :sillylol:

I doubt very much that he'd beat you. Race and find out. The worst that will happen is that you will lose and you get to listen to him going on about it, which it sounds like he alredy does. If that doesn't happen you have the satisfaction of beating him AND having proved him wrong. You have everything to gain and not much to loose.

beating a v-tec isn't much to brag about. Hell I've beat V-tec's in the camaro and the grand prix.
