who should win this race
just a quick question about who should be the victor here
i'm running a 82 trans am. it's got the carbed 305 and a 4 speed stick in her.so far i'v just put in one of those 14" K&N airfilter thing ons and i just installed a hurst indy shifter.. and tossed some new spark plugs in if that makes any difference, so she's been in the garage for a bit, maybe 2 months but i start her up once and while and i think she's game..
now my challange would be to take a late 80's possibly early 90's 5L mustang, in pretty much stock form.. i know everyone asks the old can i beat a mustang question but i guess thats kind of a bench mark if you can beat one.. now what would you say my odds are..
thanks guys

yep, youll most likely lose. the LG4 was rated at 145hp in 82', and his mustang is good for abut 225-235. so hes got almost 100hp over you. expect mid-high14s from him (w 5speed... probably mid 15s w auto), and mid-high 16s from your car. by the way, nice car man! love those early 3rd gen T/As!!!
