Got smoked by a Cutlass Ciera :(
This morning on my way to school I came up to a light next to a lady in an Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra. It was probably an early to mid 90's model. I wasn't really expecting her to do anything, but when the light turned green, she took off (I think she was just one of those people that sees green and puts the accelerator to the floor) so I stayed in it, power shifted into second, kept in it, power shifted into 3rd, and by this time she'd put 2 car lengths on me so I gave up
Lesson learned...a 4 cylinder Mustang is slower than a Cutlass Cierra I shoulda pulled the fly by!!

I don't have any timeslips for mine, but I saw one guy that had ran an 18.20 in his '93, so I'd figure on getting somewhere close to that +/- .2

But now that I think back, my dad ran 19.40's - 19.50's in his 89 4 cylinder with the A4LD (auto trans). The 93's made more horsepower than the older 2.3's though. My '79 LX with the inline 6 and 3 speed auto ran 20.30's

those gm a-body boxes can move
:hail: I ran a 17 flat uncorrected at great lakes dragaway in union grove WI- i have slips and 82 resto was there I killed his modded 89 gta 5 speed in the 60'. Oh, i was also heavily traction limited, had 185/75/14 tires, stuff in the trunk, plugs of unknown age, melting wires, yellow tranny fluid in a slightly slipping tranny, a fuel filter so clogged that the car would stall at times and it has every power option available on a 1990 PONTIAC 6000- it now says 6000000, has a 2 1/4 boss thrush turbo w/ 2 1/2 tail pipe after, a mean exhaust note, I opened up the restrictive air cleaner a bit, and tended to the other ailments. It's quite the sleeper and almost as fast as my camaro. It's got a 3.1 w/ OD rated at 140hp stock and unknown torque. I chip and thermostat would probably do more.
