Silly 'Lil Civic....

I was puttering home from the dealership, southbound on the 101, highway was completely empty...rarity for 8:30 at night. I had just got on, was in the far right-hand lane, doing 65. This black Civic flew by me in the far-left hand lane. I dismissed him, then he jumped on his brakes, slowed down enough to let me catch up with him, and proceded to pace me. I looked over at him, and eeeeeeeewwwww! Had a body kit, wasn't too tacky, just pretty tacky. Ugly wing you ask? Had it, double bookshelf type. Huge rims? Had em, at least 18's. Fart can? Duh! What self-respecting ***** wouldn't? Anyways, he dropped into a lower gear, I assume 4th, and starting leap-froggin' at me. I dropped the 'ole stinky stang into 4th, and I guess he heard the RPMS come up, because he shifted down into 3rd. Weeeeeeeeellllll! Not one to be one-uped, I dropped her into 3rd, and mashed the go-pedal. He pulled about a half car on me before I got into 3rd, but I made that up real quick. I shifted the car at 5 grand into 4th, and kinda *****-footed it in 4th. Held him off at about 4 cars or so, shifted into 5th at 4 grand, and reined in the 'Stang. Then of course, I got the fly-by, but no flashers, so I guess that means I won, eh?

P.S. I think I got the flyby thing figured out....they assume they won, because we're not "man" enough to do 120+ on a public road for more than a few seconds....no wonder we're having street racing accidents....

Flyby

Here is a solution to the flyby. After you smoke the little ba$tard, keep an eye on your mirrors. Then, when you see him coming up at 120+, cut him off. "Gee, officer, he rear-ended me!"

haha I actually cut one of the bastards off when they tried the fly by on me but it was a mustang GT and not an import that was trying it. After I had already embarrassed the poor guy he decided it was time for a 120mph fly by so i went into his lane and he slowed down pretty quick then tried to pass me on the left. I figured hey this is a perfect opppurtunity to put another hurting on him. And oh I did..hehe..After that there wasn't another fly by attempt..I wonder why??

Pulling in front of someone you raced sounds like a good way to get a .357 slug through your window.

I had a fly-by happen to me when I raced someone with the mustang. I knew the area and there was a night club ahead. I was winning and slowed down and the other two cars kept going. The police came out of the parking lot and this guy got a ticket for drag racing that I found about later, but the oter one got away.

True...but they'd have to catch me first and that wasn't going to happen.

Just be careful out there. It is better to let'em go on by. It isn't a real race if your going down the road and jump on it beside someone just to see who can pull on the other one anyway. A real race is from a dead stop with a agreed upon finish line.

i hate that flyby crap!! i destroyed a new lexus 300is? the little one with the clear taillights from the factory. i was in my 86 442 with 373s built 700r4 and tuned port 305, we went from a stop, i shifted it manually and kept up 3 car lengths on him until i hit 120 on the 30mph zone we were in, so i hit the brake for the next light, and he did the 120mph flyby through the yellow, but at the next light i got next to him and he said my car was the ****. at least he knew i handed it to him. he was shifting hard the whole way too, where i was just goin fast enuf to stay ahead.
