Taking off faster in a 5-SPEED....Any sugestions...?

Car: 1984 Z28
Engine: 5.0 L (Carbed)
Transmission: 5-Speed
Axle/Gears: Lazy 2 check
Taking off faster in a 5-SPEED....Any sugestions...?

So I got my 84 z28.....and so far the ive been able to do my full exhaust with headers 3" straight pipes and a flowmaster to top it all off....but my question is how can I get a better launch when taking off first gear....because I notice sometimes my car stumbles a bit ....anyone got any tricks...?thanks!

trial and error. experiment with different rpms and throttle position.

Install Umi rear control arms, rear control arm relocation brackets and a panhard rod with a poly torque arm bushing. Once you cure the wheel hop that 3rd gens are known to have you can rev your engine to 2400 rpm(Peak torque) and feather out your clutch. I have the same mods i posted above and my 89 pulls a consistant 1.90 60 ft at the track.
Remember buddy cheap and fast is like mixing water/oil and they don't mix. So spend that hard earned money wisely and dump it into the right place!!!

If you have stock height springs, you can skip the relocation brackets, but aftermarket rear lower control arms and panhard bar will make a difference... subframe connectors also help.... As mentioned above, try different things, different tires / temps / air pressure all affect how it launches... after upgrading the suspension on my 91 Formula, it really made noticeable differences...
