No SS's can be V6s. But 90% of non SS's are V6s. RS can be V6

Rs can be v6 or v8. Rs is the package under SS but can be added to the SS. Rs has the 5 spoke wheels.

Wait, what? How can 90% of non-SS's be V6's...what about the other 10%? You can't get a V8 in anything but the SS.

As previously stated the RS is merely an option packaged added onto certain V6 trims and the SS. The RS has nothing to do with the drivetain.

I see these stupid cars every day, the more and more I see them at work the more and more I hate them....

Re: 5th gen camaro

Mmmmm....I'm pretty sure the RS is only a V6. Here are the packages in rank: 1LT=base model, V6, crappy black "rims", no badges RS: This is the SS model without the V8 and has "RS" badges, basically.
1SS: Looks exactly like an RS, with lighter colored rims and the V8, "SS" badges
2SS: Powerplant of the 1SS model, not sure what differentiates the two though, "SS" badges.

Re: 5th gen camaro

The RS trim package is available in both the V6 and V8 models...but what do I know..I only see them every day at work.

You're also forgetting that there are 2 V6 models(LS and LT). The LS is the "base" model, the LT is a slightly nicer V6, the RS package is only available on the LT V6 models and available on the SS.

Does that clear up anything? Too many people here are guessing and spreading bad info.

Re: 5th gen camaro

If it was "slow" it wasn't an SS, at least I don't think 425hp is slow. Main way to tell the SS from non-SS is the rims, if they're stock, anything with a v8 will have solid wheels, not hubcaps. SS emblems should be red. The interior on the SS is different, the door panels have solid LED lighting.
And the LT v6 isnt too slow either, 312hp. Either will beat most thirdgens, all stock ones.

Re: 5th gen camaro

The v6 ones have hubcaps, I've seen atleast 5 around my area some with silver hubcaps, some with black. The hubcap is not the whole rim, just a ring around it.

No, laughing at how foolish you sound. Hub cap's are not trim rings, putz...

Re: 5th gen camaro

Either way, it is still a way of telling the difference between a SS and a non-SS. And technically since it clips on just like a hub cap, and it still attaches to the wheel, it is still a hub cap.

And you are still wrong about no camaro's having hubcaps, because there were camaros made with hubcaps. Thanks for playing.

Re: 5th gen camaro

OK man, you win. It's a hub cap.

Lets completely forget about the fact that a hub cap COVERS a steel wheel....where as a TRIM RING goes around an alloy wheel....

But yes, you're right.

You are like the rebirth of this troll named "stu" from years back, the kid would argue and argue about things he had absolutely no idea about, then rather than appreciate when he was proven wrong by someone who might, just might, know more than him, he insisted on being a complete and total jack@ss about it. A wise man admits when he is wrong, he learns from his mistake and moves forward, but you seem to be stuck within your own self admiration, and you feel the need to proclaim yourself as such. You masquerade your complete and utter incoherent nonsense as some type of coherent point. As for you suggesting that I am not smart, after completely making yourself look like a complete and total jack@ss just like the aforementioned "stu", such a statement from you can only be considered as the biggest oxymoron (pun intended) yet that you have so arrogantly embellished for this entire forum. Keep going though, you are very amusing. Speaking of amusing, did you go to clown college, perhaps...?

Lol, so you wrote that up to tell me I'm wrong about the hubcap or trim ring, but I am actually right and that is a legit way to tell the difference. You must have a great life.

Once again from the top, hubcap's are not trim rings. Perhaps you are having trouble understanding English? How about Spanish? Tapacubos no son trim anillos. How about Italian? Cerchioni non sono anelli trim. German? Radkappen sind keine zierringe. Does that help...?

It's not about being a tough guy, it's about correcting idiots that insist on spewing horribly wrong information so the next guy that might not know much doesn't get misinformed. That's all we need is more people to think the new Camaro has hubcaps like an '89 Chevy Celebrity.

But the arguing was pretty much over.

jayhawk, your missing the point, it needs to be pointed out. Rings are not hub caps. I mean what's next, are guys gonna start getting their girlfriends an engagement hub? Are business men gonna look down at their shirts to find that they have hub around the collar? Are pet owners who are allergic going to come down with a bad case of hub worm? Are kids going to play hub the bell then run? Should we just rename the incredible trilogy to Lord of the Hubs? Come on now...

Your both dumb as ****, cool I made a mistake and called a trim ring a hub cap, doesn't mean I misinformed anybody. Everything else I said was a 100% fact. You two are some real class-A jackasses. I bet you're so defensive because you have little man syndrome, and a few other little issues. I really hope you dont act like this when your not on the internet, cause if I ran across someone like you i would knock them the **** out

Wow this got entertaining fast..over trim ring/hubcaps and the op had nothing to do with racing to begin with.

Lets just call it a hub ring and be done with the he said she said lol.Either way..I dont like the 5th gens at all aside from the driveline and suspension in them.

All right, Lord of the Hub is funny. Better point for me to make, don't get so heated over something that silly. Get heated over a TransAm/Camaro debate, not this. Not online anyway.

Do you wrap valentines day presents with your left hand, so your right hand doesn't know what its getting?'
If you're too dumb do understand that, I'll make my point easier for you. Do you have any friends, or is there anybody who actually likes you?
