Saleen Explorer
Over the summer I worked at a Chevy dealer as a porter. I had to go to Ohio to pick up a dealer trade car. It was an 01 Monte Carlo LS, the one with the 185 horse 3.4 V6.
On the way back, I'm cruising up Woodward avenue with the the windows down, just kinda enjoying myself. Some guy in a late 90s Saleen Explorer pulls up next to me and wants to race. We race from about a 20 mph roll and I pulled him. I couldn't believe it. He yells out the window,"is that thing supercharged?" I said no, I was still kinda shocked. This thing sounded pretty mean, it must just be an exhaust system package.
Anyone know what the Saleen Explorer is?

Enjoying yourself? Where I come from, that's a euphemism for masturbating. Haha! I don't think your boss appreciates that!
Anyways, no, I've never heard of a Saleen Explorer. WAYY too many Furd guys will put Saleen stickers on everything. It's probably just a sticker. Reminds me of a Mustang guy that I pulled up beside @ a gas station. I was admiring his ride, and I casually asked if it was a real saleen. The @ss responds "What do you think?" with a snotty look on his face. Poser. I felt justified when I coated him in tire smoke after doing a quick burn in front of his pump. Whoops!

No guts, no glory.

Actually there are Saleen Explorers from the late 90s but they weren't anything too special. They had skirts, wheels, Saleen Stripes, and I think they had superchargers, but I'm not sure. They were slower than the V8 Jeeps and cost well over $40,000. It could have been a Saleen but it could have been an Explorer with Wheels. Today you never know.

Hehe, Woodward ave just happened to be the most direct route, it really sucks most days, just a big traffic jam. This thing said Saleen on it but you guys are probably right. The boss will never know! hehe
The best summer job i had was working at the GM proving grounds driving cars from test area to garage to parking lot etc. You could just get lost out there with new cars that aren't even in production. 4000 acres of really nice terrain. Oh the memories..

Yes, Saleen Explorers do exist. Go to www.saleen.com and check it out. Not much more to them other than body mods, though.

I live in Livonia, MI which is where Rousch Racing is headquartered(Im pretty sure) You should see all the stock Mustangs with Roush stickers on them. Its sickening. It really just makes it that much more fun to walk allover their car. I don't know why I posted this. Sorry
