Lets hear some Lg4 and LO3 races!

I got one(nothing to brag about but I got one) 1988 L03 vs 95 sonoma 4.3 5 speed

Sonoma- lowered (not sure how much) 5 speed heddmen cat back no cat K&N

L03-K&N and flowmaster auto

We're side by side at a stop light, light turns green I nail it hard and I get a squeal (I'm in 2nd and I'm shocked I spun them) I pull ahead 1 car lenght shift into d and slow down. I got to 50 . Then I raced him on the highway from 70 went to 90 and slowed back down to 70 I won. Not a real "kill" but it was fun. Next time I want to race him in my truck

any better Lg4s or LO3 stories ?

how about a story of a LG4 vs. a LO3? My friend has a 82Z28 with stock LG4 with performer intake and 600 cfm carb and an after martket exhaust no headers vs. My friends 92 25th ann. RS LO3 with headers and a K&N. The LG4 took the LO3 off the line but it had a crappy tranny and in the top end the RS passed him. I would like to see it with two good trannys.

------------------
I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package , dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, 16" IROC rims and ASCD SS hood.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames,
T-56 almost ready to go in, TPI swap coming up

Wifes new car:

95Z28, AT, leather, T-tops bone stock for now.

future mods:
header to tailpipe replacement and a cold air intake. Then I am just going to leave it alone

I haven't had more than a couple races... "mods" in my sig are all that I know of, but the car has been through 3 other owners hands.

I have been challenged by a punk *** in a Subaru Impreza Wagon (had a hood scoop, but it probably wasn't a WRX)... I only brought it up to 3500 RPM inbetween shifts and I was about to overtake him, but the lanes merged and well... I'm here to tell the tale.

I took down a Dodge Neon Sport up to 40 MPH before I turned off to the movie theater... I pulled 2 car lengths, when I slowed down he zoomed by at WOT like he was real pissed... he spent too much on the stereo and not enough on the engine.

I have infact adopted a new policy with Neons because it seems that every little high school kid with one seems to think he's got a V12 under the hood. LOL from now on I'm just gonna floor it when I stop next to one...

With my LG4, I was able to beat a lot of imports, 300zx non-turbo, MX6 with 75shot, Eagle Talon Tsi non-turbo, a few Integras, and a few Civic coupes and hatchbacks, some 4th gen V6 Camaros 5 speed and autos 3.4 & 3.8,
The only import I raced and lost to was an Integra with a Turbo on it.
I always lose to the 4th gen V8's.

I raced and beat a bone stock 92 Trans Am 305 TPI with my 92 RS. I had a headers, Flowmaster, subframes and K&N. I beat him out of the whole and then let him pass me, and then I smoked him around a tight curve and left him slowly but surely with his engine screamin'. His sounded mean, but it had a bad exhaust leak.

I've got another LG4 vs L03. My wife's 91 bird vs my friend's 85 LG4 T/A. From a dead stop, I got the 1/2 length jump on him and stayed there; we were in an area that we knew the cops hung out in so I don't think we got much over 60, but when we got up to about 50 I started pulling away from him. I was manually shifting it, he let his auto- shift. Both of us were more or less stock, save for a few free mods.

my lg4 really sucks @ss, ive gotten beat by a few 5.0's, an even explorer pulled away from me one day! for some reason though, i have killed a 3000gt, two 5.0 gt's and my best race to date, i killed off of the line and lost as i got to 70, was a 69 camaro with a 307. basically my car just looks cool, sounds fast but is probably a low 16 sec. car.

My LG4 was lame as hell. It would stay dead even with our 93 Taurus Wagon (3.0L) until i bumped the timing a bit, and even then it was still too close for comfort.

Raced a 92 Dodge Stealth R/T 222hp and beat him.

Raced a newer V6 Camaro and beat that.

(3) 91-92 RS's....stock so I spanked them.

Got Beat my a friend in his modded out 302 mustang...hey, he has head and cam work done to it. I have stock inards still.

Newer (99?) Caddy, old grandma driven it and yes, she pulled up next to me and revved her engine so she started it! Crazy huh? But I beat that.

And thats all I can think of right now for my LO3. Hopefully some more in the future, I rarely get to race people.

"Raced a 92 Dodge Stealth R/T 222hp and beat him"

R/T = 300 HP twin turbo, 222 hp = non turbo

But i'm not gonna be a jerk about it like some people.

Due to the L03 i don't race much, but i have managed to put down one of those little mercedes benz 2 seaters that says "kompressor" on the side in a stoplight race, and somehow a 96-98 GT couldn't pass me on the interstate. I have no idea how, but they tried like 5-6 times but i wouldn't let em.... Long stretches of open road on a clear day just rule.

Um, actually some R/T's didn't come with the turbo package and was just the 222hp V6.

My stock 190,000 mile lg4 has taken several stock ricers, GM front drive sedans, and a couple of very riced out civics. There have been a few beater pickups, and even a fellow thirgener w/ a 85ish firebird unknown engine. I don't understand how i haven't lost yet because my car is slow compared to what else i've had. My pontiac 6000 with intake and exhaust mods might be faster.

Well I havent been able to race anything with my Camaro, but I had an 88 Monte Carlo LS with an LG4 and I beat my friends early 90's Civic Si, I beat a ton of Rangers and S-10s, and I beat a ragged out IROC Camaro in my Monte. That Monte was pretty damn quick for as heavy as it was and a 305, but my Camaro feels alot faster.
