Crap my car isnt even as fast as a stock Z28...
if only I had started out with a L98 motor instead. My car would probably be pretty fast. Anyways yesterday and me and my freind were heading to the local mountain pass to do some drifting. On the way there we were crusing. And suddenly a blue 91 Z zoomed by at like i'm guessing 100mph or so. As soon as I see that I catch up to him. And pace him. I then floored it and then had to slow down for him. Cause he didnt want to go. After awhile he finnaly accepted and he floored it. So I floor it and he was ever so slowly pulling away from me. Not fast. But slowly pulling away. Haha...so to all those imports and mustangs that I beat. I'm still slightly slower than a stock Z28! haha...your cars are slow! haha...oh well...

no flame intended here at all but...
if your car is a stock TBI then why are you surprised when an LB9 or L98 is faster? (just assuming you haven't modded it based on your sig)

Nah I didnt that I was going to be faster than a L98 Z28. But I thought I would be equal. I guess I was pretty equal cause he was only slowly pulling away from me.
Heres my mods: small/fast port job on heads, small port job on TB, hypertech underdrive pulley, FLowtech headers, Thermal R&D muffler (stock 2.25" piping), IROC rear w/3.27w/posi. Those are the mods that will make me go faster.
I also have subframe connectors, drop springs, 4th gen rear sway bar, and other things to make the car look better.
So far in the 1/4 The best I've hit was a 14.9@94mph. With really bad traction and a best 60' time of 2.4
Hmmm...I think that if I had a 3" exhaust I probably could have won the race. Could I have atleast beaten the older Z's? just wondering...

Chris,
How was the fit on those flowtech headers? They are pretty cheap right? Can you get them with a y-pipe or did one need to be custom fabbed?
oh and i would definatly get a better (3") intermediate pipe, such as dynomax.

Hell yea those flowtech headers were cheap! I got them for only 80 bucks! But then I had to make a custom Y-pipe. And that ended up spending another 220. So over all I spent 300. Which kinda sucked.

Car: 91 RS
Engine: 350tpi comming soon!
Transmission: fixed the 700r4 again!
i can hang with most stock 350 tpi's . the only thing your missin is a better intake, 3'exhaust and maybe a better cam then the peanut cam. even if you put in an l98 cam that would help tons. an lt1 cam is the best though. i have a pretty simliar setup to you , except i havent touched the heads yet!!
