Dodge Intrepid?
How quick are those newer style Intrepids?
one dude tryed racing me, usually half throttle keeps me ahead of the older style intrepids, but this one pulled on me pretty good at half throttle, I just said heck with it and floored it and blew past him, but I was surprised he kept up like that..
were they given a hp boost with the updated body?
and no *I* didn't pick the race, he was egging me on at 2 seperate red lights.

my good friend drives a 2000 dodge intrepid its quick but all it takes is a decent launch and you'll have the race, i have an LG4 with flowmaster catback and K&N filter so its not much, you should be able to take him/

Transmission: need one of those
Did you happen to notice if it was an R/T? If it was it is definitely faster than the standard Intrepid, I know I have a 2000 R/T. I will say that around town they are fast for a front wheel drive car but on the highway watch out.

I raced one in my car, loaded with 4 people and everything. My car was stock too. How did I get him at 1 carlength? Don't those new 3.5 liters get 200 horsepower He definitely floored it, I could hear it spool up, and I punched it and took off. By the way my car is a 305 tbi, what the heck! How did I beat a new intrepid, with 4 people in my car? Gah, that was very confusing!

The new Intrepid R/T's have 245HP. If you raced an R/T Intrepid and had 4 people in your car you would not have won by a car length unless you were packing some serious hp.

No, no, no....I beat not an R/T but most likely a 200 horsepower 2.7 liter v6 or the 3.2 liter 222 horsepower v6. More than likely it was the 200 horse 2.7. It definitely was not an R/T. Sorry for any of the confusion. I know there is no way in hell my car could beat a R/T stock, but maybe I can now....
