91 z28 vs. 94 probe GT.......Who would win?

I have a 91 5.7L z28(auto) completely stock. Someone with a 94 Ford Probe GT (manual) wants to race. I think i would beat him in the 1/4 but what about the 1/8 and off the line?

the answers to your questions are YES and YES. your car will smoke his @$$, I beat a Probe GT with my 305 before I did anything to it. I'm not sure if it was a manually or auto, but it shouldnt make THAT much of a difference. Go beat out and beat him!

I completely SMOKED a stock Probe GT Stick (literally, did a burn out, then took off and she couldn't catch me), with my 87 IROC 5-spd LG4, when it was COMPLETELY STOCK...

Need I say more?

laugh it up, but there is this guy around where i live that me and my friends call Johnny Probe. none of my friends will race him (one of my friends has 98 Z28 also) the sad thing is no body wants to loose to probe ( i know i wouldnt) just watch out some of those probes have turbos and its easy to raise boost levels. people like that tend to like to spray the hell out of their engines with NO2 too

ok here is how it will work. the probe will run a best of 15.5 with cold air and slicks.. ok i know because my friend has one.. and yes slicks drag radials whatever!! so dont worry.. you will kill him..

and why would you even ask.. come on its a ford and i dont know why people even bother. if you are wondering just race what are you gonna lose, SOME GAS.. who cares. there are always faster cars out there so why are you afraid of losing!!

I drove a ford probe gt 94/96 I could care less what year. It was an auto with that manual shift crap. I was not impressed at all! Granted it was not a turbo, or NOS eqquipted but it was slow. You should win a race unless the guys "analprobe" is a turbo or loaded with a major nos shot.

Just remember some slow cars can whip you even if your pushing some power. I got beat off the line buy a geo storm , but I had a 305 with 200,000 miles on it. still not an excuse.

Sorry quite sure the turbo ones ended in 92 with the earlier body style, my friend has one, somewhat fast might have to watch out for it, LOL.

There is only one "semi" quick probe. It is the Ford Probe GTS has racing stripes.

Everything else is garbage. Fords are for rednecks.

The turbo 1st gen probes were pretty fast, I know a guy who took one into the high 13's with a fairly stock motor and added boost. You should spank the 96. If it has the V6 it is only 175 hp.
