Re: Whats faster
You could run into anything between the base 150 HP 944, or a 247 HP 944 Turbo. I'm assuming you're asking because you know someone with an old 944, so go run it and find out.

Re: Whats faster
I don't have a clue. I'm guessing you have the 215 HP LB9, since your sig mentions TPI, and an automatic shifter.
You might be able to beat anything from the 150 HP base 944, to the 944 S2 at 208 HP, but a well maintained Turbo or Turbo S might get you. Not sure. I'm going off of what I looked up about them, don't know that much about Porsches.

Re: Whats faster
The 85 LB9 was a good one since it had a slightly bigger factory cam than other years. I'd say if the porsche says "turbo" anywhere on it you most likely won't win but they are not real fast cars either, so race it and find out. The one thing the porsche has going for it is that they are relatively light cars.

Re: Whats faster
Stock 1985 TPI is going to be 215hp and can run in the low 15's and hit 140mph stock. Only the turbo can beat that in acceleration and maybe the S can match the top speed (turbo being faster).
