:D Pulled on a an M5

Sunday night I had the luxury to play around with a friend of a friend that thinks just because he gets to drive mommy and daddys 06 M5 that he is a good racer and can take anyone on.This kid is young (19) and Im 27 and I got my feet wet with racing on the streets for awhile.A bunch of us were at a local pub having some grub and a few drinks watching football...this is always perfect breeding for **** talking naturally and poking at eachothers teams making referrences to eachothers cars slowly persued lol....Now I dont usually go egging on a race without seeing how well you can drive when there is a chance you got a faster car and I have to play catchup.I havent fully ran my car yet so I had an itch to scratch and when the comment finally came of "well who drives a transam and tries to go fast anyway".. I heard the bell ring. I follwed with " well if I keep sucking on my thumb then switch my mothers t!t at your age then id ask for a bmw too"

Needles to say we lined up and the first excuse already was to go from a roll because the bmw launch control sucks( Ive driven an m5..I know it works well if done right lol) so I agreed. We cruise upto 50kmh and punch it...now I thought for a split second it was over because he got a good jump almost full car on me and then third geard with the hsr topend seemed to really flow for me and I pulled him down 3/4 car ahead and he shut down.

We get back and everyone laughed..apparently my car is fairly loud. The kid was just bowing down saying omg that thing is a beast..and I replied nope..you just cant drive but its a nice car.I told him thats my first race on this motor since Ive been taking it very easy the past 2 months breaking it in..Now Im ready to let loose but it still doesnt feel fast enough yet.Still have my 150 handy ..but not ready to use it yet..never tried n02.

First kill for the 383 hsr
06 M5 ...check

Always nice to shut down someone that was handed a car. It may be worth a heck of a lot more, but seeing his face after the race is always priceless! I know M5's are no joke either, especially the newish ones, so good kill to you.

I have a kid I need to shut down myself in a BMW. Kid went out and bought a 330CI (230 HP) and thinks it feels way faster than my 08 Shelby GT mustang (320 HP) and probably weighs the same. I just can't wait until he wants to find out for sure.

Re: :D Pulled on a an M5

I wasnt expecting to win when you match up our cars on paper..but I knew he wasnt going to be able to outdrive me so thats what got me ahead.I took this same M5 for a quick boot a few nights ago and gave the kid some pointers on launching a car with some power and learning control of feathering a hard launch without peeling the crap out for 180 feet lol.

Now i want to roll up to one of the brand new 5.0 stangs and see what they can do.

Re: :D Pulled on a an M5

I've never run into a new 5.0 myself yet but watching the street racing section on LS1tech it seems like they are either hit or miss. The track pack option with the 3.73's seems like it makes a huge difference in the performance of them. I heard a stock LS1 F-body took one and then I heard from someone else that the 5.0 held right with his bolt on 6.0 GTO. I'm sure with the right driver they are screamers. Unfortunately there aren't many "right drivers" out on the road, haha.

Re: :D Pulled on a an M5

Those M5 are fast and I love to hear about someone getting crushed because they were just handed a car. My car brings me much pride knowing that I built it myself instead of buying off the showroom.

Yea, I thought the new 5.0 stang was released for 2010, or is it 11? I have not seen one on the road yet.
