I would say that you have him man. he is lighter than you but you have an advantage with the lower gears

Is his a 5spd? Do you know the specs of his motor or what it is (vtec)? If you can hook I'd say youd have him.

If it's a newer integra like my buddies he will beat you. You are what a low-mid 14? This kid has one, headers, intake, and exhaust and he sees 13's at the track.

I find that hard to believe... tegs run 15's stock, intake and exhaust barely do anything unless its turboed. I've never seen a N/A 4 cyl in a stock weight import run less than a 14. My friend drove a 98 Civic with a vtec swap from a teg and he runs a 14.1. tegs are heavier than civics also. Did you friend tell you he runs 13's or something?

We haven't had an "Integra" type anything in the states for some years. It was renamed the RSX. So if its badged as an Integra then its certainly not one of the newer ones.
What cam does your LB9 have? 86's got one cam only, the peanut cam. Have you ever been to the track? I've heard tons of people brag about how their car is cammed, but all they reall have is a flowmaster.
I'm gonna have to say you will probably take him off the line, but willing to bet he'll out-run you the longer the race goes. Most thirdgens with auto's run out of steam around 120 or so because TPI motors don't make much up top, and the 700r4 gearing does not allow for WOT in 4th gear, so you are pretty much limited to 3rd.
Realistically you two are pretty close in performance terms. Were it a later Lb9/5spd or L98 I'd say you'd take him for sure, roll or dig.

Not sure if you mean Integra GSR but i cant tell you from personally running my friends 95 Integra with cam gears, exhaust, short shift 5spd,lowered vs my now stock 350 with tpi(not an original l98 block),stage 2 700r4,2800 stall, chip tuned by me,stock 3:23 gears is a damn good race if I do say so...start to worry around 3rd gear.
Off the line ..permitting you dont spin is what will make or break this race.He wasnt far behind off the line launching right before vtec..near the end of my second gear..we were neck and neck mostly..through 3rd was a battle and we hit traffic before finding out just who would edge out in the quarter..Id say he would pull me upto for sure.Alot of things hurt me for the race keep in mind..the stall is for my old built motor..gears suck off the line and i havent really raced the stock motor to dial in launching it hard.
If your lb9 is in good running order and you can drive it well..you might take him

Re: 86 iroc-z vs integra type- r (dig)
The Integra Type R is a 5 spd with the B18C5 VTEC engine. It was the top VTEC engine for its time, expensive, and hard to find. Stock produced around 195 hp and was ported for better flow and had a more aggressive power band than the B18c in the GSRs. It'll be quick, probably also has a limited slip differential. If no mods other than the bolt on, probably running around 215 hp. The suspension is also tuned more for racing than the standard Integra or GSR.
