Hey guys, Today I finally got to run a C6 Z06 and I am so impressed my car!! I have a 2008 LS3 Corvette coupe. My shop installed their custom Novi 2200 kit, alky kit, and longtubes with cats. The car puts down 579rwhp with a safe tune and over 600ft on low boost!! It's insane to me. Last night after the final tuning was done everyone thought it was very quick and was curious how it would do at the track. We threw some drag radials on the car and took if for a quick pass.

Needless to say I was very happy and I can not even imagine next year when we forge the LS3 and turn up the boost. Right now it is at 8lbs and a very safe tune with alky for protection.

While driving the car home a black C6 Z06 got behind me and tried to aggressively pass. That didn't work in his favor !! You should have seen his face it made the price of the whole build worth it After that he stayed back and didn't even pull up and give a thumbs up or anything This must be the "********" Corvette owners I hear so much about.

My mistake... I signed up because my first car was a thrid gen and I do like those cars still. However I thought I was posting in basically the kill section and it does not have to be all third gen stories, or does it? If it does I appologize and was unaware that is how this board is.

Watch out, you will either get attacked by the thirdgen people for not having one, or they will swing off your nuts because your cars a GM and fast!

Btw the runs look good, did they hassle you for a cage?

Surprisingly no, It was one quick pass on drag radials and back to the shop. This was at Englishtown at night. Yea my bad I didn't know it was ONLY thirdgens posting. I have a soft spot for those cars and figured why not sign up since I do lurk on many car boards. I post over at SVTPERFORMANCE also and there are a lot of cars that are not mustangs there. Same as Corvetteforrum but it's all good. Later guys

Eh, don't let other members scare you away with their comments about "people are going to attack you for not having a thirdgen". Usually people get flamed because they're ignorant and looking for trouble. Not because they don't own a thirdgen. But they like the play the "it's because I don't own a thirdgen card".

This is a thirdgen board, and you stated you liked them. Nothing wrong with you signing up and participating. Your post isn't thirdgen related, but it was a good read. It's not like your spamming the boards with a bunch of vette stuff, or putting down thirdgens. I say you post up some videos/pictures of your car. I'm sure everyone here can enjoy a fast vette.

Sorry if I came across wrong. I guess I meant to ask if your kill was with a LS3 3rd gen, or a Vette? I thought maybe I had misread & you had put a LS3 into a 3rd gen.

No you were right bro it's all good. Nice GTA, my first car was a 1988 Camaro 305 TBI and my friend had a 1989 black GTA and use to constantly kick my ***. I didn't take your comment the wrong way I just didn't know if maybe it was strictly for 3rd gen or not.
