Axle/Gears: 3.73
85 elcamino ss
What would i have to do to my car to beat a 1985 elcamino ss choo choo custom all stock. my car is a 1984 z28 with accel super coil and flowmaster 80 series exhaust.

choo choo custom was just an appearance package. It has the same l69 305 as your Z28, I would think stock for stock an L69 F-body would be faster then the an L69 El camino.

my freind had a elcamino with the 305 he said it was fast but at 85 mph it was done cause of the 3 spd auto so youll prolly have him. i woulda raced my freind but he rolled his lol/

I raced my buddies 86 Monte SS it was all stock 56,000 original miles with my 91 rs at the time it was TBi w2.73 gears and catback and coil and some free m TBI mods I barely won and I mean barely. He took me off the line by half a car(those cars cam with 3.73 posi's in em) by 40 we were neck and neck, by 65 I had a bumber and by 80 I had him by half a car.
I would say stock to stock it's a drivers race on that one, although I'm told that stock 91 rs TBI were 16.8 cars and stock Monte SS' were 15.7 cars

yea man if your car is in good working order you should take him easy. those things are alot heavier and are the opposite of aerodynamic
