Re: My RS now has straight pipe.

Im a little unfamiliar with the terminology... straight pipes mean no muffler, right? Or are you saying you replaced the cat with a straight pipe? And if you've got no muffler, why would you want/need cutouts?

Either way, my car sounds bad to hte bone now with the long tube headers and 3 inch duals on it, so I can relate! I never thought a stock L03 would sound THAT good. but they do...

Re: My RS now has straight pipe.

Well, i never had a cat, i just had the muffler removed and now it is like this. The cutouts gain power going from a 2.5 inch dual into a 3 inch pipe, with the cutouts open, it is simply dumping true dual exhaust under the car, it makes a difference on the big end, i cannot wait to dyno it.

Re: My RS now has straight pipe.

lmao ,my pops is like 6'3 270 and he thinks its comfortable ,
i think its comfortable as long as i put my seat all the way back.
poor 20 year old seat have a lean on them now .

i want to eventually cut down to 300 then a bit lower, cant cut down too much our ill start losing strength for power lifting.

also i want to get down so i can run quicker at the quarter mile(with my weight its like 2 passengers would be runnin at the track) .
me and my car is on a diet lol

yes, but it's getting a nice little hi-po rebuilt 350 put in it's place in two weeks. i built the system on his car and i did it with the bigger cubes in mind. could he have gotten away with 2.5? yes, but the 3" was available and will work later down the road when he steps up again with no ill effects to his new combo.

i feel you guys on the big guy thing. i'm not the biggest here, but i'm 6'0", 260lbs. i'm not fat either, but i can tell the wear and tear i put on the side of my seat is probably from being a bigger guy.

Well, you gotta look at it like Borla exhaust, how many people here in Tx ever get ticketed gor runnig open Borla? None that i know if, mine is basically like Borla, actually i think mine is a touch quieter, it is not horrible under normal driving conditions so it really isnt a problem.

No doubt, but I didnt get the system for the 305, I got it for the 350!

And I'm 6'2 at about 250lbs... I really wish the seat went back just one more click, but it's damn comfortable once Im in it. Getting in and out is a little trickier though, since I dont want to pull on the wheel, or damage my seat, or my dashpad, etc...

that's not really the answer i was looking for. what are you gonna do if you get ticketed for it? you personally. are you going to leave it as is and hope the same cop doesn't pull you over when he sees you again and notices your car just as loud? or are you gonna throw a muffler on it? i'm not saying you should put a muffler on it, i just want to know what you personally are going to do if it happens.

your best bet is to build mass so you can get your weight up then cut down just a tad
