I have a 1992 Z28 camaro L98 full power. all factory options but factory cd. magnaflow duals on y pipe. vortec 350 out of a 96 truck. G92 rear with 3.23 gears. my father has a 2005 tundra with 150,000 miles i believe. we are going to the track when i get my lisence. he has the full four door version with a rack with a light bar on it. how bad will i beat him?

cause im sick of him saying my car is slow and that is truck has REAL power with the factory rating of 285 horses at little over 6,000 pounds lol. he thinks he can get me off the line cause my car spins really bad and his truck wont spin at all so he thinks if he can get off the line fast he can beat me. he THEORY comes from that he street raced a 02 or 03 maybe roush mustang stick and it was a young kid who deff. couldn't drive cause my dad got him off the light and till about the mustang pulled away at about third gear so he thinks i cant get him off the line and by the time i catch up it will be over.

Take him out there and when you launch hit about half throttle just to get it to hook then at about 6 foot off the line ram it down and show him there's no match for american v8's.

Make sure you practice launching when you start driving the car. There's no need to mash it off the line...just ease into the throttle. Don't be so worried about beating him off the line, you have the top end power to blow by him if you gets a small lead from the start.

Also, tell your dad to get a clue, his heavy turd of a truck is NOT fast, never will be fast.

yea i know its his work truck it gets driven all across the country. he excorts wide load semi trucks. the truck also has a HUGH dent in both drivers door from a hit and run.

You should absolutely destroy his truck. I Walked a tundra while i was towing a trailer with my 06 titan. And my l98 iroc would decimate the titan.

And youve got an 96 vortec 350 which should be better off then my l98

My wife has an 03 Tahoe with the 5.3 and 3.73 gears, should be a good race with that Tundra.
