[QUOTE=kylez28]Yeah I'm REALLY curious how a bolt-on L98 with a manual would run. [QUOTE]
My L98 has close to full bolt ons, along with the stock 700 r4. I have decided once it goes i am going to either get a 5-speed or a 6-speed. Then i can hit the track and compare the times with the auto vs the 5 or 6 speed times.

VinDeezl on these boards has a 350 with early style vortecs, an HSR and a 224/230 cam with a stock WC T-5. He hasn't been to the track yet but she definetly moves out very well. Before it was tuned and had crappy injectors in it my old T/A (exhaust, free mods, cheap mods, 4.10s, A4) barely walked him from a 2nd gear roll. Now with a new tune and injectors his car pulls HARD, MUCH harder than before - it would have gotten my T/A. Can't wait till it's dynotuned to see what she can REALLY put down

more than likely the LT1 didnt have 2:73 gears, only 93s with an auto trans(like mine) come with 2:73s, i probably had a 3:42 gear

Didn't the A4 LT1 F-bodies only come with 2.73 or 3.23's? I thought only the M6 cars got the 3.42's. You think the LT1 F-bodies had crappy gears for that engine. The B-bodies like my wagon had 2.56 gears standard and 2.93's optional. The SS Imp's got 3.08's.

only 93 f-bodys with A4 came with 2:73s, every other year had a lower ratio

That info is completely wrong. Any 4th gen auto could come with 2.73s, even a 2002 SS A4 could. 3.23s were the option package, from 93-02.
There is a gearing difference in 1993 though. Manuals only got 3.23s, that's it. In '94 3.42s became standard in M6 cars.
