It doesn't take 40,000 dollars to beat a 40,000 dollar car.

There are more than a few guys on here with vette killing combos.

Everyone seems to hold high priced cars in high regard, when it comes down to it, the grease monkey with a nice forged block can run with a newer exotic, that was my point.

Thank you for being such a smart *** though, as it assured me of your higher intelligence and smaller *****.

Mrpopo you are such a freak'in TOOL any car guy with half a brain knows it doesn't take that much money to run with a 40,000 dollar car. Thanks for stating the obvious!

Now if you look at TraviZ combo he might be pushing 500 hp and without chip work and dyno tuning its not even at 500 hp. He said he wasn't scared of any stock vette and I just question him does he think his car is on par with a new zo6 which runs 11.5.

Do you always bring a guys ***** into a conversation? I know for me a guys ***** size isn't on my mind when I'm talking about cars or ever for that matter.

So yeah Mrpopo your what we call SUSPECT!!

My message was to dispell the idea of high priced performance being unattainable by the regular car guy. If that was redundant then thats my fault, but then this is thirdgen.org, and half of everything said is just opinion. Faulted or otherwise. So you could of let it be, but instead you responded like an 18 year old jock.

However, the ***** line was a metaphor for your obvious love of flaunting your ego. Before the e-argument goes any farther, let's drop it. I'll be suspect and you can be quiet.

I think the C6's have a cutout on them and when you get on it it disconnects the exhaust after the manifolds.

Nobody in this post even had the idea of high priced performance being unattainable by the regular car guy. So your redundancy is your fault I was just pointing that out to you because your statement wasn't something new to us on this forum! Every TGO member knows that. Atleast I would think so but apparently you don't. So my bad for pissing you off get over it or stay mad I don't care. An I will never be quiet to someone named Mrpopo!

He trashed his original block (threw a rod iirc) so he's having a machine shop build this new block. Last I heard it would be ready in a few days. I'm sure when he sees the thread he'll explain.

i hate the sound of N/A 4 bangers, but the boosted ones can sound nice if you put a low pitched system on it. EVOs and STis can sound okay.

AHH Man I needed that laugh. If you had a Tpi I might be able to help you but you really need to ask that question on the engine tech board. An give more details about your fuel system.

Very true!

It's an awesome feeling when you're able humble a "factory super car" owner... either at the track, or on the street. Especially after informing them that there's less than five grand in the Iroc that just spanked them.

all well and good, but at night the guy with the super car goes home, parks it next to his ferrari in his 7 car garage, then go screws his gorgeous girlfriend (with a boob job) on the third floor of his mansion. Do you really think he cares about you at this point? I wouldn't.

its standard 4 barrel quad jet.. ive been told its either a 650 cfm carb or a 700... which seems big for the car yet it only gets about 8 mi/city
im not sure about the choke.. the cars computer is basicly fried sitting for 6 years..

you shouldnt be getting that bad of gas mileage. sounds like a float problem or jet problem, either way your car is way out of tune. go get a af guage and start playing with your timing and carb. and if its a 600+ and you think its to big for ur car it prob is. so jet it down.

The factory quadrajets are rated at 650 cfm. You can modify the tab on for your air valve flaps to get them to open up all the way to 90 degrees, and it will flow 750 cfm, which is what the throttle bores are capable of flowing.

If you're knocking down 8 mpg, you either are doing some hard driving on that or need some maintenance. Go talk to the folks on the carb board. You should be knocking down at least 12 or 14 mpg in town with your setup, and 20s on the highway. Quads are known for fuel efficiency.
