I only gave you **** for calling the SRT-4 a ***** and suddenly you start whining worse than a 5-year old girl that had her lolipop stolen. But whatever, I'd be pissed off if I got smoked by a 14 second car too.

I was just stating a point....the fastest cars in the world (1/4) use V-8s with forced induction.....and if you have to know every little detail here is my sig....yes my car can blow the doors off of most turbo 4 bangers...the sig is old my SB has a larger cam and better tuning now....oh yeah your right I hate ricers...ricers who are all show no go...I already said I respect the 4 cyl guys that really do have a fast car....I think the kid who started this post should race the Dodge again....I think he has a chance of winning....and if not he has a better car to build......

what does that have to do with my car though?
prolly nothing
just like that v8 prolly has nothing to do with your car
but check the rules on top fuel see if they even allow 4/6/10/12 cylinder motors? if they don't chances are they aren't using a v8 just because its the best it might be because of rules
and btw I have a slow car with no show either so you would waste me. hope that makes you feel all good warm and fuzzy inside

try this whats the first thing that comes to your mind
yeah I drive a SRT-4 do you think I can beat some r<x>edneck driving a 92 with a l98. damn kids these days think by driving some car like that it's fast but I have boost and technology on my side. so what do you think roc city. do you think I can beat the m<x>ullet boy?
so do you see the question?
does it make you all happy inside and want to help me or does it kind of irk you a little?
now if yo ucame on to the board saying
I have a l98 with a few mods done (list mods here) do you think I stand much of a chance against a SRT-4?
doesn't that sound a little more friendly

but see here is another thing why pay to play when you can have an efficient car with a warrenty already built then pay to have a car fixed up to go fast that isn't streetable, gets bad gas mileage, isn't going to be reliable (and end up costing a lot due to the budget build and reaplcing those parts)
myself I would rather have car tht moves and if it breaks I get it fixed then one that can't even really be driven on the street and needs worked on all the time

But, there are valid points in your argument. I will agree to simply disagree on this one.

If someone wants one for a DD, its their money, let them do what they want. I'd buy one if I had the money because I've driven one and I loved it.

thos things have NOTHING in common with a v8 that you drive other then they have 8 cylinders. that's it
and if displacement was king why not use a v12 for a top fuel dragster? or maybe there is something else somewhere.
and why don't you have a top fuel motor in your car? you seem to want to compare your motor with one so I'm taking it you either have one or want to put one in your car right?
but either way your car has nothing in common with a top fuel dragster so your argument there is VERY weak.
I smell r<x>icer attitude with what mods are you pulling 400+hp. have you had a dyno done to it? what about the 1/4 what do you run there?

the problem with your original post is your attitude which you have carried through all your post.
but anyway why should I care about you right?
I mean trailer trash r<x>edneck you should prolly go cut your m<x>ullet. do you see what I mean?
this is the attitude of your post through the whole thing. you have done nothing more then name calling, flaming, insulting and acting like a little kid. it's no wonder with people like you that thirdgen owners have a bad reputation.
it's one thing to love your car and it's herritage. it's another to be a complete dick about it to others based upon what kind of car you drive.
sounds to me your just as bad as those ricers you are talking so bad about. their attitudes their cockyness all of that you show yourself.
so go ahead keep on going with your attitude. make the thirdgen name as white trash as your doing. good job bud

If the car breaks, it breaks, the warranty only specifies who's paying for it.

sure you can build it up over time and make your car fast. but that takes too long. who can wait a few years to finish a project only going little slower here and there at a time when instead I can sign a paper get the car now and have the good performance now and just pay for it slowly over time and still have someone else fix it if things go bad.
also with the thirdgen even if you do have all the drivetrain and motor built up your still driving around in a car that is at least what 13 years old almost? so there would be pain that prolly needs to be fixed up. and parking lot battle wounds, the squeeks, and rattles, seals that aren't sealing as good, the typical crack that happens in the body near the back of the window up top, and who knows what else you might have to replace.
not trying to knock the thirdgen as they are nice cars. it's just sometimes other deals are fairly nice.
and being a NEW car for the SRT-4 that shouldn't have those problems (though not all thirdgens do either if taken care of good enough). it's kinda nice . though I do agree the neon still isn't that great looking of a car

but if they made a v12 top fuel car I'm sure it would be quite a bit larger then that just like the top fuel cars usually use a motor a lot larger then your typical sbc also
EDIT: didn't they have a v12 that was around 1.5-3L or something like that?

EDIT: Looked at some F1 sites. They have like a 3 liter displacement regulation. So many tiny V-10s and V-12s. Honda did make a 1.5 V12 with over 400 hp, but couldn't find anything about it being turbo. If it was N/A, that would be one torqueless son of gun. Wouldn't matter though, as an F1 is a paperweight compared to a street car.

The turbo F1 cars in the 80's were putting out 1,500 horsepower at around 80 pounds of boost. Way more power per liter than any top fuel drag car ever built. I don't think they were quad turbo, and don't know how many cylinders they had though.
