what do b16 swapped civics run?
ive never run one before and was wondering. one would be a 91 and the other a 92. thats all i know about them. and what is the fastest speed you can drop the 700r4 back into 2nd? i dont know yet if they want to do it from a dig or roll.

Just floor it and watch where it shifts into third at.. that's the max possible speed you can downshift and not over-rev...
I remember my old camaro shifted into second at 40, and would stay there till around 60 or so.

not bad.. 11 to one on a B16 and all those bolt ons will get it running good.
definately capable of bottome 15's to high 14's i believe. in a hatch tho gutted out, they can get pretty light. still think they wont be quicker than higher 14's. GSR hatches tho (b18's) can run bottome 14's with only minor bolt ons. add cams and they can hit high 13's where my friends is. he is gutted out and full built GSR. not bad for a NA car

correct stu. i was the run with nitrous and he was just N/A although i didnt open the bottle. he said he ran a 15.0 on a day i know was wet (friend at the track that dat had a 4 sec 60') i didnt know those little things could be so quick n/a

time for headers back exhaust for you my friend. and learn how to tune that prom so you can get some serious power out of more mods. if you desire to mod the little 305, just know, i got mine to run a 13.03 @103mph N/A, so they can be made to be quicker than most folks think.
also, i'd look into a set of 3.42 or 3.73 gears.

yeah i know, im just waiting for more money to flow in. and i havent quite decided what i want to do with the car yet. i havent decided if i want to go ahead and buy all the bolt ons now or if i want to save the money from those and get a 350 then get the bolt ons. and would those gears make a huge difference over the 3.23s i have in there now?

There were so many imports with 16 and 17 second dial ins. Hardly anyone there runs 13s or lower, everyone that does either has an fbody or occasionally a 5.0 stang, but its rare. Theres one SRT-4 that's pretty fast, but he's always a dumbazz and drags his back wheels through the fvcking waterbox.

That's like asking what a 305, 350, and 357 can do N/A and turboed. Anything you want them to depending on how much money you want to invest. I thought we'd been over this. I think the fastest N/A 4-cylinder is in the 9's.

It's ONE turbo Eclipse, and he's in the high 7's. I just posted it in another thread not more than a week ago. His name is John Shepard. The motor is the same displacement as stock as well.

I guess you didn't read the info about the car on the page then. Full glass, fully carpeted, all metal except the hood, 2650 lbs with the driver, etc. That's what my Integra weighed with me in it.

I see those wheels on 16 second Civics.
Sure has a lot of dash board, door panels, glass, and carpet for a full race car.
Okay, I'm done.
In fact, let's see some pictures of that 7 second street radial car that was brought up, I'd like to check it out.

I suppose when you take into account the fact that 99.9% of import compact cars are unmodified, and Californias retarded emmissions laws, I can see this. When you go to the import shoot out here, it's teams with cars that run 7's, 8's, 9's. A handful of personal cars running 9's, 10's, 11's and 12's. Two handfulls of personal cars running 13's and 14's. And a standing army the size of the population of China running 16's-19's. *Very few cars actually run 20's +

You can also run as loud of pipes as you want. Have as many stupid lights as you want, and be as low as you want without even getting a glance. Try driving a Civic that is just lowered, or has a different muffler.

Emissions are a bitch, but there are always a way around them. I don't have to pass the visual, and I know every trick in the book to make it pass the sniffer. I watched a really really really lumpy cammed LT1 pass yesterday... that was interesting.. you know what they say.. "necessity is the mother of invention." And if you're a car guy in CA, you HAVE to know how to get past the smog *****.. whether it requires good friends or lots of greenbacks.

You guys are just talking about test and tune days, or weekly bracket racing right? Not like the NHRA sponsored events? I'd recommend going to one of those, it's not quite Jet Car Nationals, but it's still fun, and you get a good look at the kind of cars in town.
