Racing a Pinto

I have a Camaro and this guy wants to race. He has a Ford Pinto, but i was told it has an 8 in it. Stock Pintos dont have 8's in them, so i was wondering what he couldve put in it. My guess is a 302 out of a rustang, but im not sure. If it is a 302, could i still win? I have a 88 camaro with a 350 out of a '77 camaro, with an edlebrock intake, a 600 edlebrock carb, new timing chain, and a bigger cam. what do you think?

what size cam, and you'll probably lose in a drag, a track race you would kick ***. Light car with probably around 300hp+

I wouldn't race him unless it was for fun. His combo is vague and could run anything from 15's to 10's.

10s or faster. Pintos weight next to nothing. If he went thru the trouble of a motor swap, then it's probably not stock.

as i said he will lose. pintos are great race cars because there is nothing to them, despite being ugly and cheap as heck

You're racing a tin can with a V8. It probably runs at least 11s, 12s if he can't build a good combo. Pintos don't weigh sh*t.
