u think so? i think so too...

today on the way to school i was in a hurry cause i was almost late, so i was kind of...speeding...u can say, and some "cool" subaru 2.6 Legacy or wutever jumped in front of me, and for some reason he thought i was racing him and i was just pretty much on his *** cause i needed to go fast and he was in front of me, and we get to this stop light and its 2 lanes so i pop him a rev thinking hes going straight, then he gives the a "peace" sign with his 2 fingers and turns away like he thought he beat me or something... i duno confused me...

you have to get the model of bmw

theres like 4-5 different engines it could have, for each series.

like if its a `98 540i sport or a `98 m3 they BOTH do 0-60 in 5.5 and 14sec 1/4's stock. regular `97 540's 0-60 in 6.2, and 14.4 1/4's. now aything less theres also 525, 528 they do 15.3 1/4's and 6.8 0-60, 530 and 535... are the older, round headlight generation. a 530 does 7 to 60 and 15.5 1/4...

ive driven all of them when i worked for a dealer, and most of them are not to be taken lightly. especially if its got a few bolt ons

Here's what I found...you will have trouble with the newer models like the M3...for some reason the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times won't seperate.

Year Make & Model (0-60) (1/4 Mile)

Modding a BMW goes as follows:

260 hp stock

chip: 5 hp $1200
headers 3 hp $900
supercharger: 30 hp $12000

Obviously I'm exaggerating slightly, but most BMW engines do not realize large increases in power from motor mods, as they tend to be pretty high strung even stock. If your 350 is in good shape, especially considering you have full exhaust, intake, and aftermarket heads....you should walk him. Just make sure to end the race before a turn, he might have a chance then .

You had better win... practice launching b/c if you bog or smoke the hides he'll win. IM sure you have waaaay more torque then this guy does, he may be able to run you down in the long run but you should destroy him in the 1/4. Since theyr both manuals the driver will make a big diff.

Basically if you dont win thats your bad! YOU better win!

3.73's and a 350? go smoke his *** even if hes an M3. Just rip him out of the hole and dont spin the tires. 3.73's are major.

What kind of 350? Just a basic crate motor or something thats been built by yourself or a shop? Specs?

For people to just say "well you have a 350, you'll win" is a bit misleading...

Well in this case, where he's trying to race accords and bimmers, a 350 and 3.73 gears and even a 4 speed auto if he doesnt have a 5 speed, is a potent combo. he is gonna get through those gears so fast, and even in high gear he is gonna pull hella.

So if he had a smogged out early 80's 350 he'd win right?

Engine

Heres the rebuilt 350 under my hood, its a crate engine straight from GM. Rated at 300hp/370 lbs/ft of torque. (i think its less, my dyno shows a little less, but its torquy). high lift cam, pair of aluminum heads, edelbrock performer intake, stock qjet carb. And of course my hedman headers, which flow into the 3" exhaust, which has the "fake" catco cat on.

This is the engine he is running according to his cardomain. Personally i think a step up from the qjet would help him a lot but either way hes gonna win as long as he doesnt get outdriven (is that a word?)
