Mitsu lancer goes doooooooooown

This was just pathetic, I expected more from this car. Well, I pull onto the main street on my way to work listening to Metallica trying to wake myself up when some punk kid with some weird tie dyed hair-do happens to pull up next to me and had his chick in the car and I guess from the way I was looking (groggy) he thought it would be fun to show off. His little twirp girlfriend eyes my car up and down at the stop light and I wasn't going to go first. I so waited to see if this moron was gonna gun it from the light and so he did. Now is a perfect time to test the fuzions I just bought yesterday . Ok so he gets the jump, I drop the clutch at 3000 rpm and off I go also. I caught up to his door in about 3 seconds and blew past him in just about 5. I went all the way up to 65 (too early to go higher with cops and traffic) and cut off and this *** wipe wants to keep going. I just give him the bird and turn off to my bank. Lancers? What a joke...

Lancer with or without turbo?

Without turbo = nice kill

With turbo = Really nice kill!

Not sure, was a yellow one, had some gigantic looked to be stock wing. Black racing seats and a evolution badge at the bottom left of the back bumper. I didn't hear a turbo spooling but then again, my exhaust is extremely loud.

stock lancers with non turbo motors are slow. a 305tpi could easily kill one.

This must have been a legit EVO. they are low 13 second cars. Your car must be quick pasky. that LT1 must be a beast

Sounds like an Evo... Did it have twin hood scoops?

Either way... Nice kill! I love showing confused guys what their cars are really made of

I didn't take a look at the front, I have no rear view mirror in the car, when I cut off the guy blew past me with the stupidist look on his face (man I love that) and I just flipped him the bird and turned left off to my bank for work. I love my baby, she does me proud . I have killed and been killed by an LS1, taken down some weird ford escort custom turbo car, killed a mercades compressor (the small one, not sure what the heck they are called, the two door roadster I think). Its just hard finding anyone who bites around here. I wish I would have had this guy later at night when there is no traffic so I can really make him feel stupid.

So what kind of times do you run? From the sounds of it, you raced just a regular Lancer and think you're hot ****. The way you described the race, you'd have to be an 11 second car to pull on a stock Evo like that. So you must be confused about which Lancers to expect performance out of, because if you were expecting performance out of the non-turbo model, you are the only one I know who does.

good kill man forget stu, next time you race a evo give a longer race, because evo's have nothing below about 3500-4000 rpm's
the are dead slow until that turbo kicks in, i've test driven 3 and a buddy of mine has one, have raced him yet because of the weather but as soon as the rain passes its on......

well you raced to 65 and blew past him in 5 seconds or so. lancers can launch well. AWD. they can hit 60 in less than 5 seconds so this kid must not been able to drive or whatever. either way to pull on a car like that, you got to be fast. Lot faster than 13.0. more like mid 12's or better.

Im not worried about stu, i've seen his dead horse import arguments be beaten to death. Im ready to run whoever and whenever and im not afraid to chalk up a loss, its the thrill of it that I love. I've smoked 350Z's and Stu obviously has never been in my car so I don't pay him much attention. Like I said, its much more fun when im out driving in the evening about 2:00am, the streets are empty and I can go toe to toe with anything out there. I've lately been trying to snag a C5 vette under my belt but none will bite.

Im not worried, i'll gladly race that schmo. Stu acts as if I got no power beyond 65.... My car pulls like a motha all the way through 5200 rpm and I was only in third....

I bought them for $250 shipped for both on an auction on ebay. I had to cut the old brackets off the old seats and had a welder weld them on the new sliders. Was a piece of cake. They are very comfortable.

evo's are fast off the line if you dump the clutch from 6000 rpm. From a roll or a modest start i don't think there so fast. Nice thing about torque i run 5.2 0-60 with no wheelspin, if i spin them i go slower. I'll take an LT1 Z over a buzz bomb evo or wrx. Besides i can't see it being anything more than a time bomb if you do alot of drag racing with hard launches, and if you dont launch hard its a dog. i love smacking wrx's around, seems they all think they can outrun my old loud camaro

Why are you talking about me? This has nothing to do with imports. What I was pointing out was you wasted a slow-*** car that you thought was something else. Remind me what that has to do with imports or 350Zs?

And what makes you so sure it wasn't an evo. I only described the car, said it had an evo badge. Your the fool in denial. *** forbid someone rape one of these things off the line.

Havn't run it yet, let you know when I hit houston next week for the gathering. Only thing I have are dyno numbers and I have one hell of a flat torque curve at peak 4600 RPM at 312lbs and 302 rwhp at 5200 rpm.

Okay, that's enough. The way you walked on that car in conjunction with those numbers mean that you raced a regular Lancer, not an Evo. Congrats on killing a 17 second car.

it does not make alot of torque below 3500prm because it is a 4cyl. the only way to make torque in a small motor is to have a power adder, or increase the displacement. let me tell you a secret, your torque peak and horsepower peak will always be within 2000rpm of each other. im talkin about to the flywheel,NOT the wheels.dyno's are somtimes misleading. this fact does not include nitrous motors. i second that it was a non-turbo. i mean in no way to offend you pasky, i love showing awd cars what a set of dr's will do on an l98 car and have killed quite a few. i even have a kill video of my camaro on dr's killing a lightly moded syclone in the drag section.

One of my best friends had a '97 SS with the Hypertech package. If you source out the options that particular car has, it's one in seven made. He had straight pipes with no mufflers, a hypertech chip, and a K&N drop in filter. I just so happen to race with (and talk to) the new owner of that car. He's running some smoking 14'8s every time I see him. The LS1 SS that shows up with slicks and runs 14.7's isn't much better either. My 13.8 embarasses both of them. I'm sorry, what weren't you saying something?

Im not offened at all. All im saying is I raced a car that had an evolution badge, 2 black front racing seats, a gigantic stock wing, and some homo with tie dye hair and a ugly chick. Im not offended that it wasn't turbo, I never even said it was. Not sure what stu's problem was . I just love getting the dumb looks. For all I know he may have been just a horrible driver . Oh well. More notches on my camaros bed post .

I don't have a problem, I was just letting you know that you didn't race an Evo, and NO ONE expects any performance out of those weak sauce regular Lancers, so you shouldn't either.

Yeah, I think he was saying you are acting like a little kid again stu. Ooooooooom stu runs 13.8s. No one cares. You could run 11s and no one would care, cause you arent doing it in a thirdgen.

I would rather push my thirdgen stu, than drive your import.

Wait, were you saying something stu?

I agree entirely. Thats why he is on probation. Eventually he will screw it up good enough that they will ban him.

I know of a Lesbian who thinks that Bush is trying to ban birth control, and she is mad because she won't be able to use it if it gets banned. Why this off topic story? Because most of you guys can be represented by that lesbian. You've gone and completely missed the point.

why does every one love to start arguements?

who cares, you stomped on a Evo supposively. congrats

If it wasnt a Evo, and it was a regular lancer, thats just as impressive as beating a kid on a BMX bike.

evos are quick and if you did pull on that car like that then your car is fast as hell or bad evo driver
