Got a race set up for when I get my engine finished

omg
I thought you were making 456hp (now I'm not so sure), but I didn't think it was at 3500... And you shouldn't be comparing your 383 to a factory motor. It's essentially a built engine, not a bolt on engine, so you shouldn't use that logic to prove its power level. Stroking your engine does not add as much power as you think. Adding 33 cubes will not give you 100 hp; because in order to do so you would have had to have been making 3.3 hp/cubic inch in the first place, which you were not(you were in fact making less than 1hp/cube). So unless I see a dynograph I'm

Just to name a few..........
"my heads stainless 2.02 1.60 valves close chamber"
ALL 882 heads are open chamber heads.
"11:1 flat top pistons $900 a set."
There's no way you have 11:1 compression with 882 heads and flat top pistons. My fathers motor needed milling and domed pistons to get anywhere near 11:1 with his 882's.
"FORGED H-BEAM RODS aluminum (they weight less takes less power to move and can move faster)"
All aluminum rods are I-beam designs. I've never heard of an H-beam aluminum rod.
I think it's official --->

u dont know what ur taling abou its not just strokeing when u use a 383 stroker kit. the kit says it will make between 400and 450 hp .dam go online and look at a kit. i dont care if u guys dont think it will make the power because i know for a fact it does
i got a kit alot like this one

That means that the components in the kit will handle 550hp, not that they'll make 550hp.

Yep you go do that.
If you come up with a real dyno sheet of your motor I'll be the first one to admit that I was wrong.

i believe 882's can make 450 hp with a very long duration cam, at very high rpm if all else is right. You will not be making 450 hp under 6000 rpm and you will not make anywhere near 500 ftlbs with that setup. Most likely you have a big cam that likes to rev, your heads are restrictive. If in fact they do flow due to 50 or so hours of porting you will have no port velocity, so 500 ftlbs is out of the question. From your posts you seem to have a "parts catalog" level of engine knowledge. You throw out gibberish that sounds like something real to your average 16 year old *****. I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt on peak HP not rpm or torque. State you engine combo, in detail, once and for all. What kind of DYNO, engine or chassis, what kind of cam roller of FT, what PN cam, what manufacturer, flow numbers on your heads and the valve lift they occour at. Piston PN, dome or dish cc, Head CC, advertised cam duration, duration at 0.050" etc. i could give a **** about what your crank is made from or your alluminum rods. Please stick to facts.

hahahaha ohh my ***!! I havn't posted here in months but as I was reading the post I was just getting ready to call this one!!! Well folks first things first the scat stroker kit will give approx 76 hp while the eagle stroker kit is only good for 72 hp... he must have gotten the scat one. I don't even think it's possible to make that kinda of power under 3500 with the displacment he has... well n/a that is. And believing info you got off of ebay!!! lol someone who is trying to sell these things for a living, obviously there gonna spice **** up. Anyone ever seen those electric superchargers that make huuge power on any motor, I think in reality they make under 1/2 a pound of boost. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is!! (like your hp numbers) please post your dyno sheet to proove me wrong untill then you just look like a moron!

i changes it to the real mumbers. i been makeing up those low rpm gains sorry. i just took it u guys would think a car that made power like that super early would be cool.but everyone mknew to much and called the old flag on me good call by the way.

OMFG!
Why don't you just tell the whole truth? Your motor doesn't make 456hp@3500 or @5200. Why don't you just admit that you don't have a clue as to how much hp your motor really makes?

I think this is his way of asking us what he's making (or what his envisioned engine setup would make) Add some heads to match that cam and dynotune and you should see some better results.

STOP PULLING NUMBERS OUT OFF YOUR A**!
456=trq(4200/5252)
trq = 570 ft lbs @ 4200 rpm
Pretty unusual having the torque peak 1000 rpm higher than the hp peak Get a hint... An NA 383 will not see 456 hp anywhere below around 5500. So next time you make up your numbers, be more precise. Here are some more realistic ones for a good high revving 383, (just so I've beaten you to the punch):
456 hp@ 6000 rpm
450 ft lbs @ 4500 rpm
EDIT: I take this back: David Vizard built a 14:1 CR 383 race motor that was making 525 at 5500, but I think my claim was reasonable given that this was not a race motor we were discussing.

The numbers are wrong on that. It should be 456 ftlbs @4300 and 431 hp @ 5400, if you look at the graph itself. I've got my sh** straight. It's my duty to raise an eyebrow when I'm provided with physically impossible numbers.

well thanks for the heads up so i got 431hp@5300rpms and 456ft.lbs@4300rpms yea that does sound better
i will tellmy pal that his computer is putting them in the wrong spot his dyno is old.
i will redyno and get a good sheet or a new print out of this one after being corrrected
