yet another race story
i found and messed around with that Integra that i saw the other night, i pulled out of my neighborhood, and i culd see him checking his mirror, sitting there at a three lane light, and i pull up recognizing the car and roll my window down, the first words out of his mouth are "ahh what the hell do you want this time?"
to which i simply replied "just some more of your @ss if you are ready to have it handed to you".....i decided to give him some attitude, just to mock him from the last time (the "I can take it" line) so we sit there, about a min, and chit chat, and as i look down at his newly installed flashing neon lights, the light turns, and he jumps it, i hear him squwal, and remember, this is the integra with MAD torque, and by the time i hit the gas, he has about a lentgh on me, i can see him laughing, so i gun it, get up to his back bumper, rev loudly, and let loose, passing by him, and beating him to the next light, by about 2lengths, well i asked him to pull into the gas station to check out his ride, and we pull up, he pops the hood, and had had an engine swap, from the Integ motor, to an S10 Cyclone engine, and that was the suspension he had also, he basically had the entire Cyclone drivetrain in it, no NOS, just a nice little integra with the s10 cyclone in it.
pretty nice guy, and car, well thats it for tonight

No offense, but, I see why a lot of people cry . I find your story hard to believe. I had a GMC Syclone (spelled with an "S"). It's a 4.3L turbo engine with all wheel drive. Now you're saying this kid basically had the Syclone drivetrain in an Integra? If he really did, which I don't see how, his car would be pretty damn fast. The Syclone was a mid 13 second truck right out of the factory.

a v6 integra with a 700r4 and awd, i wouldn't imagine any tire squeal from a 40/60 awd setup, and that guy would be the only one in the world with that swap and would have cost him thousands of dollars. maybe even excese of 10000.If it is true that'd be sweet.

i have done absolutley crap to the cfi, i am going to get a tpi, but i dont have the money right now, from what it looked like, it was the same engine that i saw in my friend's "syclone" i didnt get on my hands and knees to check the suspension or anything, i just took his word for it and posted it here, true the syclones are 13 second trucks, but i am running low 13's also, seeing as how he had no mods done to the syclone motor, he did right by hanging with me

I know I'm old now. Racing is not anything worth it to me. For one thing, losing my car to the cops or a fug up on the road is not anything I want to do... now. Hell, I went through that phase when I was "your age" with a German sports car. 35 speeding tickets, 2 DWI's, and 3 totaled cars, it's amazing I can even get insurance let alone the amazing fact I am alive (no BS on the stats).
Oh well... I enjoy reading your rites of passage from adolescence to adulthood. Just use your head and avoid confrontations with the law. Oh... and alcohol with a throaty V8 might also be a bad idea. Stay away from that combination. Look at your life like this: It's a progression from one cool car to the next. My current phase is below and happens to be an f-body. I'm having some fun with it.
Old man out,

I just saw this...a bit late. Anyhow...I call bs on the Cyclon engine swap....It's not feasible. It's not REMOTELY feasible. First off, the cyclone was a VERY rare vehicle. Second, the motor couldnt fit in the negine bay of an Integra (little lone the trans/drivetrain issues). Fitting a 4L60E trans under the car wouldnt be possible (unless the firewall was cutout and a sheet metal case was made in place of the cab). If the guy COULD find an intact cyclone Engine/Trans it would cost him more money to do that than it would for him to buy a cyclone (or possibly somthing more pricey). I have no doubt you winning...but I doubt what the guy told you about motor swap.
