2004 Midsubishi Lancer Ralli-Art???

Theoretical three car race...

1. '04 Midsubishi Lancer (Ralli-Art emblem on the back)
- Automatic is all I know about it

2. '01 Mustang GT
- 5 spd - Pro 5.0 short shifter
- K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit
- 15,000 mi.

3. My '88 Formula LO3 5 spd
- Mods Below

Order of finish?

1. GT 2. Lancer 3. Me ?
1. Lancer 2. GT 3. Me ?

Basically I know the GT will murder me, but will the GT beat the Lancer, and will I be able to hang with this Lancer?

Thanks

those lancers are very slow......ralli art is just an appearance package. The only lancer you need to worry about is the Lacer Evolution, they run high 12s to low 13s stock. You're right about the GT, it will beat you, but you should take the lancer.

Good, that's what I wanted to hear.

I don't really care about the GT (it's my Girlfriend's) but the Lancer is this kid's who was talking soooo much crap at a bar last night. Any guess as to how much HP it puts out?

GT's got like 270 or so
I got like 180 or so
what's he like 200-ish?

Yeah those Ralliart Lancer's are pretty slow, just an appearance package, with like different rims and i think a spoiler, but that's it, nothing done to the engine at all.

I just researched it here it is:

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt
120 bhp @ 5500 rpm. Torque, 130 lb-ft @ 4250 rpm

So according to that, you should absolutely murder him, he has no right talking trash, so put some money on it and go own him!! Good luck!! Keep us updated!

Saw a few Lancers run at the track last night they were high 16's to mid 17 second cars. One Evolution there the guy got in the High 13's.

my girlfriends mom had one of those rallyiart Lancers it was the slowest thing I have ever driven in my life. I bet my parents full size van could beat it. It was so slow that my girlfriends mom took it back to the dealership because she was tired of having to wait until there was no one on the road for her to pull out. You should kill it. They are mid 17 second cars at best auto. Good Luck and go shut that dumb *** up.

So my GF's GT would absolutely mangle him, and I would probably put a good hurtin' on him as well. I cannot believe that this kid could only have 120 BHP and talk the way he did. He couldn't have been serious then.

Unless of course he has a model up. I know its not an evo, is there a level between base and evo?

If the 120 holds to be true, there's no reason to even waste my gas. It's getting too expensive anyway.

Thanks guys.

They have a 2.4 L 164HP inline four cylinder, It ran a 14.9 quarter mile according to motor trend. Its not an appearance package.

I stand corrected, I was just looking at one of my old motor trends this morning and it does have the 2.4l in it, with 162hp@5750rpm, and 162ft./lb tq@4000rpm, and it runs 0-60 in 6.9 sec, and the 1/4 in 14.97 @90.88 mph. So it's definitely gonna give your L03 a run for its money, that is if it is a 2004, I think they did make one earlier like an 02? I think that was just an appearance package, but if it's the 04, then you might have more of a race on your hands. Keep us updated!!!

Great way to Ruin my Monday.

I know for a fact that I cannot beat 14.9 @ 90mph, so it's a good thing that I havn't seen him since. I will run into him again this Wednesday night, so I will be able to talk to him again.

There will be no race tho, because he won't take it to the track, and I will NOT street race. So, we'll see what happens.

and thanks 1990 for gettin' those numbers for me,

KZad

According to the mitsu****ty website the car is 3298lbs and has 271hp...leading to a 13.4 ET. If you want to race a fast sport compact pick a fight with the new WRX Sti. Runs about 13.0s with a factory driver.
