00 Celica GT vs. 89 RS V8

What would win in a street race, my friends 00 Celica GT VVT-i (1zzFE) 5 speed with short ram intake and 17 inch rims, body kit, neon lights, and lambo doors, OR my 89 RS V8 700R4 with K&N filter, Jet stage 1 chip, flowmaster muffler, shiftkit, TM 2000 converter, and vette servo. I have the stock 2.73's open and stock tires. The car is in perfect tune, that is to say I just changed the plugs wires cap rotor adjusted timing minimum idle TV cable the works. His car does around a 16.9-17.0 last time he ran.

i would definately have to say u becuz u have the advantage of torque and ur mods help a lot, the celica GT's suck *****, however the GTS's are pretty quick, i would think ud run a high 15 depending on ur location, his rims weigh him down along w/ all the other show crap he has. go for it and good luck

A stock LO3 can run between 15.5 and 16.5. If you are on the lower end of that you will murder him.
