hey my friend has a new mazda6 auto w/ tiptronic and ive ridden in his and it pulls pretty hard 220 hp but i have him in torque i just wonderin the opinions of how bad ill get beat or what not i have an 89 RS w/ a 305 tbi and a posi-trac w/ 373 gears and a flowmaster muffler, sooo whats the verdict????

Yeah that's what i'm guessing, you'll own him off the line, then your lack of horsepower will give him the upper hand on top end. Maybe try racing him stoplight to stoplight and you'll have a better chance.

not that it matters but i meant an 88 just so everything is clear my car is an 88 not an 89 but yeah i figured id get beat pretty bad, ill be racing him tonight or tommorow and ill let you know how it goes.

Yeah so it happened last night on the way to my friends house. We were in plano and got stopped at a red light only there is a third party in the story now, a 98 2 door tahoe w/ dumps k&n filter and hypertech tuning, and i know its a tahoe but ive driven it, ridden in it and it is fast for an SUV. so we get the light and we all take off the tahoe and i are dead even off the line my tranny shifts into second and thats when i start to pull on him, a little bit later the 6 pulls on me when he shifted into third he pulled about a car and a half on me, so pretty much like everyone said i took him off the line and he pulled. but i was suprised i kept up w/ the tahoe off the line cuz hes got killer torque. until the next race finds me.
