Me against a '97 Saleen Mustang S-281
There's a guy that I see in the auto-parts store pretty regularly that has an un-modified ~ 1997 or so Saleen mustang S-281 and he's dying to race me. He thinks he'll "smoke my a**". I told him to bring some money! 
How quick is the above Saleen?
I've already raced and beat a 2003 Supercharged Cobra. Is the above mentioned car any faster than the above mentioned S-281 ? I think his car is supercharged, but I dont know. I've seen a few Saleen mustangs that didn't have a blower.
Thoughts?

What are your 1/4 times? How bad did you beat the Cobra? N by the way...if you can eat a "SUPERCHARGED"Cobra for breakfast,(not that Im giving you mustang guys props)then youve got room for desert. Good Luck man!

No official track times yet. Ran 11.8 on Gtech. Beat '03 Cobra from red light to ~120 mph or so, had him beat by 6 - 7 car links.

saleen has a lot of stages more than roush. smaller pullies does alot so does gears, tires, suspension

That year S-281....nothing more than a Stock Mustang GT engine. 215HP for 96-97 and 225 for 1998.
That is assuming you are correct in saying is a S-281 and not an SC-281 (supercharged 4.6L) or an S-351 (500HP SUpercharged 5.8L)

Yeah they look good but thats about all. Not very impressive for what they cost. The S281 is nothing like its big brothers with the superchargers. Smoke HIS a$$ and then point and laugh for me!

I guess his is the supercharged 4.6 liter. His car does have a blower. And he's running drag radials. I dont know what else he's done to it. I know for a fact that the blower is the only power adder.
He says he "hangs" with '03 cobra's just fine.
I told him well if you only "hang" with '03 Cobra's, then your about to get wasted by a little Tuned port Z !
