1970 Chevy Chevelle with a 454
My boss at work has a 1970 Chevy Chevelle with a 454 in it he said it’s not the ls6 so I take it that it’s a ls5. I do not think it has any mods done to it. About what should it run? I haven’t seen it but he says its in good shape. But he only drives it a few days a year.

Car: 1984 LG4 Camaro

Axle/Gears: Strange 12 bolt 3.42
I would not advise expecting a win against a big block Chevelle.
Even though they weigh 4000lbs and have a 450hp (actually around 400hp) motor, they run in the low 13's on the old tires they came from the factory with. If you even put mild mods and tune it to modern specs, it'll probably be a mid 12 second car.
Could be really ugly (like Howie Stern ugly).

A 70 Chevelle with a 454 would be pretty tough competition for a lightly modded thirdgen I think.

My father has a 67 camaro with a 454, and it RAPES my 350 Trans Am. Like not even pretty. But its a lighter car. WHo knows, its fun to get destroyed by something way faster than yourself.

Car: 1991 Formula
Engine: 350 firebreathing inches of Small Block Chevrolet
Transmission: A 700R4 that has trouble handling the formentioned 350.
OK if he has the LS5 I'm pretty sure it's an auto then (not sure but I'm almost sure) So let's see a 454 rated at 360 horse with a turbo 350 or 400 trans. The torque numbers are probably pretty nice on the BBC..............
What the hell am I thinking who in their right mind has a non LS6 1970 Chevelle that isn't modded??? I tell people all the time that my Camaros are stock just so they think they have a chance and will agree to race me, then I embarass them. Which might be what your boss is going to try. I would be very worried about lining up with any Big Block Muscle car (esspecially a 454 Chevelle).
Watch out man this could be Howard Stern ugly.
Good Luck anyways, it would be worth losing just to see the '70 Chevelle's smooth clean tail lights,
Later, Garrett
