Ok, my one friend has a 1991 Camaro RS with the 305 TBI with a hooker catback, my other friend has a 1997 Prelude with the 2.2 dohc vtec. I was wondering who would win? The Prelude is stock and a 5 speed. My friends camaro is an auto.

Im pretty sure the Lude should take this one.The power is about the same,and the Lude is slightly lighter and has the 5 speed,which is a huge advantage.Im pretty sure its also a low 15 second car stock,whereas the RS is going to be in the high 15's if it only has a catback.Then again,it could be a drivers race.Let us know what happens if they end up racin.

lude regardless.. the tbi just doesn't have the hp and rpms to match the VTAK powa.

Imma have to go with the lude on this one. but who knows...one way to really find out is to have them race.

As much as I dislike imports, I'm gonna have to agree if thats the only mod. Oh well let us know what happens.

as long as the prelude driver can drive good he has it, this comes from experience with preludes against my 305 TBI.

I'd say the prelude wouldn't stand a chance if they took short sprints for light to light... after 40mph i would say that the lude is far gone... the problem with the lude is that its a ff car while the camaro is rw... it count's alot when standing still... I've raced (don't laugh) fiat uno's with 1.3l turbo engines (120hp-160hp cars that weighs at 900kgs).. i'd allways smoke them from a stand still but after 40mph i allways got smoked... though with the mods that i've put in this winter thouse days a behind me

Btw... the tbi wins in tq hands down... but it does weigh more...
