Poor poor third gen
There is this kid I know.He has a black z-28.Not sure on the year.Said it was originally a 305 car.Swapped a really fast 350 in it.And it wont hook up at all.My buddy has a 2000 stang with a 4.6 in it.The kid says it will smoke his stang.Just talks alot of trash.
Today I end up seeing him at autozone.And he pops the hood.Well it still has the qaudrajet,stock intake,stock exhaust manifolds.He has a edelbrock open element air cleaner and some edelbrock valve covers.Other than that it didn't even look like the motor had been swapped.So I say lets line em up.Remember I am driving my stock 91 cavalier with a 2.2 auto.
Well we didn't catch a light so we went froma 35mph roll.I downshifted to 1st and Punch it.He had a flowmaster I guess.(he works at a muffler shop)And I heard his car rev.I pulled about 3 lengths on him by 50.(the speed limit is 35 and I had already ran from a cop in the same town a few days before)So I shut down and he gives me the one finger salute.Well i pulled into where I work and so does he.Tells me to pop my hood.He thinks I have nitrous or something.So I do and show him it is completly stock.And that makes him mader.He then tries to spin out of the parking lot but gives only a short bark.
I swear some people just need to just tell the truth!

i hate people like that....but showing them up is so much fun! this guy around here used to b.s. about alot of stuff..said his camaro with a 305 and huge cam ran a 13 flat but he never showed the timeslips..i dont think he ever raced anyone either, but was always eager to express how much his car could rip other cars.

I just dont understand why so many people get so pissed when you beat them....you didnt force them to race, and they obviously think they know how to and can compete. I guess the truth hurts...

Nice kill man. Yea, a basically stock 305, especially carbed, wouldn't get out of the 16's. Too bad for him. It is bad enought that his car is that slow, but to lie and say it is fast, that is just dumb. Maybe if his car was kinda fast in the first place...

I know a guy with a stock L69 and a 5 speed in a hardtop 84 who ran a 15.2. All he had to do was replace the posi so the rear actually did its job and shifted around 5500. Then again it's very rare that someone is able to pull a time like that in a stock L69, usually you see mid-high 15s or worse.

I am not sure if it was a lg4 or a l69.Surely an lg4.The thing is I believe me cavalier runs about a 17 second 1/4.haha And his car is slower mine.That is just pathetic.
I told my freind with the mustang about our little run in.And He was floored.He can't wait.The kid is my buddies girlfreinds ex boyfreind.So there is a little rivalry going on between the two of them.
