So we are comparing speeding tickets??

Never scanned it, but here's what was on it

Driving to Endanger
Drag Racing
Speeding 105 in a 45

No dollar amount....just a court date

So i got a lawyer with connections and he got the whole thing wiped from my record.

Since then, i don't mess around on the streets at all. I kinda get mad when i hear people think of street racing as "cool" and fun. yeah, how fun it is when you are paying off a $2500 lawyers fee My other friend thought it was fun and is now in court for vehicular manslaughter because the other car he was racing cut off an innocent bystander who spun out and was killed. But street racing is still cool and doesn't hurt anyone

I'm sorry, but street racing is not cool in my book now. I learned my lesson and i'm done with it.

I'm with mustang. I usually don't street race. I setup my races in an unpopulated area. I might get on it from time to time but nothing really dangerous anymore. Its just not worth the risks involved. Too many people out there that are moving liabilities.

Smart man. No matter how careful you are there are always variables that are out of your control. Some kid runs into the street and your doing 110mph. It takes WAY too long to stop. Save it for a track day and get it out of your system then. You can go to track days at your local autocross track too.

Route 66 raceway has trackday's Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I believe. I really wanna let loose with my GTA when its done, so I've signed up to become a member of SCCA and I think I'm going to run Solo II. Have a two day seminar with a professional driver at the Joliet Raceway in may.

I just got my second tinted window ticket two weeks ago. I got my first last October.

My windows were tinted since September of 1999, and I never got bothered at all until October 2002. I went on court supervision so that ticket wouldn't go on my record, then got pulled over for tinted windows a week later but got off with a warning. Then a week after my court supervision expired, I get another tinted window ticket! So it's going to go on my record because you can't apply for supervision more than once in a 12 month period. It sucks because tinted window tickets are considered moving violations in IL... So my insurance will be going up.

I haven't had a speeding ticket since 1997, in my 1987 Trans Am-- 64 in a 45.

91 in a 70. That's my most expensive.

i got pulled over 3 times in the first 6 days i had my license. once was for having a headlight out (first day with license). Next was running a stop sign and got off with a warning (5th day with license). the next day I got pulled over for doing 58 in a 30 by the same cop that pulled me over the night before. this time I got a ticket (6th day with license). over a year later, pulled over for racing. I admitted I was racing so the cop only gave me a speeding ticket (thank ***!). then I got pulled over for running a red light, ticket. then finally for speeding, 50 in a 30, ticket. lost my license for 180 days. not fun. I should try to stop driving like a jerk!

Got my first ticket in 8 years on the trip up to Tennesse from FLorida in my wife's 1998 Ford Escort SE. 86 in a 70. I had left late, and was trying to make up for lost time. I was in Macon, GA (nobody tells me until AFTER I get to Tennessee that Macon is a big ole speed trap!!!), had the cruise control set, no other cars around, bright sunny day, came up over a hill and there he was, sitting in the median. The second I saw him, I kicked it outa cruise and pulled over. No dollar amount, apparently GA does this new thing where you go to a website to get the $ amount for your ticket. $161. I had just finished dropping in an almost-new engine in the day before....

#2 60mph in a 45 in my other car, 86 mazda truck 5sp, 4cyl, talked my way out of it.

I'm glad my friend and I didn't get caught on I-5 coming up from So Cal hehe, we were driving our trucks at a steady 100 mph for about 45 min.

What the heck I'll chime in too.
Got pulled over the second day I had my license in my dad's Dodge truck for turning improperly. Then 8 days later I was fishtailing (if that's how you spell it) in my mom's Grand Cherokee trying to impress my then girlfriend and I rolled it. That was in April. I was not allowed to drive again until about October.
I guess my worst speeding ticket was 65 in a 55, but I once got pulled over for 70 in a 30, somehow I got out of that. Then there was the time my friend got pulled over for street racing, somehow I got away and he didn't

GtaGuy87, you need to slow the F down, man.

My last one was 73 in a 55, the cop knocked it down to 69 in a 55 so I don't have to go to court, which is nice because I don't feel like driving 200 miles to go to court. (It's in Hatteras, NC) Which reminds me, I need to send in my fine.

Helpful hint: When you are traveling through a popular vacation area during the off season, be careful because the cops are bored, and just looking for something to do.

HOW DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR LICENSE???? here in kansas you'd be walkin buddy. and only 700 in fines, that amazes me. those are really cheap fines compared to wichita, well i guess since the cops just tripled all fines to help raise more money, dirty pigs.

Just a question for you guys, do you have a really hard time noticing police lights behind you when you get lit up??? Ive had cops run up to my door and tell me to shut it off now because they thought i was running when in fact i just couldn't see them! i never see flashing lights behind me and i pay very close attention, only way i can see them is if i duck down and look in the mirrors, just curious if anyone else has this problem??

well i just went to court for this one and had to pay it and lose my license for 60 days. I did 90 in a 65, well that's what he clocked me at. i was coming up to this hill and had a funny feeling that a cop would be on the other side, well i was doing 100-110 so i didn't slow down in time and there he was in the median. I just got into the right lane (highway) and waited for his lights to come on and sure enough they did.

got pulled over many times for lots of stupid crap but only 1 ticket, 87 in a 55, got lucky and went to traffic school...the ironic thing about this is i was driving my moms 93 sentra when it happened, i was still in the process of rebuilding my motor at the time, i have never got a ticket in my car, i think i am more careful in it for some reason...i think my friend has every1 beat though..he has an 02 ws6 and on his way back from texas was stopped for doing 152 in a 75...

Police SUV was coming the other way when i was punching it cause i felt something weird when i accelerated.. i fly past him, and then he pulls a quick U turn... both saved by the pba card... only one ticket.. in my taurass.. "going around a police baracade" hehehehehe! paid $30 fine, and $30 in court fees... no points no nothin... im pretty lucky.. for now....

I know a few tricks

I still have my lisence because i go in there acting like i know what im talking about , i kinda do cause im a Criminal Justice major, whenever i get a bad one i turn it on them, instead of them getting me scared i get them scared saying im going to press charges for selective enforcement, unfair treatment, verbal abuse, they usually will drop the charges down to parking tickets, this worked when a cop nailed me for 4 tickets. I got it all reduced to a $150 fine

Our friend Tim has 2 of the dumbest tickets ever. He got nailed first with passing a cop, he actualy pulled out and passed the cop, 104 in a 80. Then his recent one, the cop in front of him passed a car so he pulled out behind the cop and passed the car too, got nailed 116 in a 80.

I got 2 tickets in the same week from the same cop on the same road. Both 90 in 80's.

Lets See ...

- Got pulled over for doing 80 in a 70. Cop never radared me but radared the guy behind me and thought I was speeding. $115 fine, got the 2 points taken off. Completly erased from my record.

- Excessive Noise (Burnout) Did 2 crazy 180 tailwhips in what I thought was an empty parking lot. Well nope, 7 cop cars and 14 officers pulled me over surrounded the car ripped it COMPLETELY apart looking fro drugs. Found none, talked my way down from a Wreckless driving to an excessive noise one.

- Last week got pulled over for careless driving. Had my hand out the window and my friends girlfriend in a nother car swerved over into my lane and the passanger touched my hand. I never made an attempt to touch hers or anything, I didn't know what was happeneing until she touched my hand. I got pulled over, and she go nothing. Gotta goto court sometime this week and tell the judge my story, and make another court date for the hearing and stuff.
WHAT SHOULD I DO? Should I admit responsibality and ask for the 3 points to be taken off on an account that I sucessfully take and complete a traffic school? Or should I plead not guilty and hope that he takes the points and fines off? Since this is my 2nd offense, that is on my record. I don't know what to do. I can't afford points right now.

Dont believe me

Larry Dunlap you dont have to beleive me but it worked in Orchard Park, like I said i know the law and different way to manipulate it. I told them that i know the law i know the proper way a cop should act and that the cop acted in no way under those guidlines. :nono: dont doubt what you dont understand

If It was my town i would plead not guilty they almost always reduce it to parking tickets because then the town gets the money not the state. They would rather have the money than you get the points on your liscence, thats why i still have a liscence because they care more about the money than the offense as long as its not real serious and what you did doesnt sound to serious. My advice is plea NOT GUILTY

IROCBandit, I'm in Wichita, KS too, you aint kidding about the ticket costs here....I myself have never gotten one, but my friends have, and it sucks....I always seem to find the cops way ahead of me, or way behind me, my dad did that so I picked up on it, and I always slow down before they can pick me off....it's a nice ability to have.

I'm always on cop alert

i agree with the whole cop alert deal. my dad taught me that to. i missed one last night though. for some reason one of our sheriffs had out one of the old cars so i wasn't expecting him, ne way, he was going super slow down the highway that i was trying to pull onto so i was messing around jumpin the front end of my car out like i was gonna go, and then i see this big ol badge posted on the door.
Long story short, i was only about 2 blocks from the county line, and i never looked back.

one time I was driving in the middle of nowhere in the desert near where I live and I was going about 90. I saw this white suburban up ahead but I didn't think anything of it because everyone has a suburban where I live, they are the most popular vehicles. The suburban had to be at least half a mile ahead, I caught up to him and realized there were lights on the top. so I slow down but it was too late, he pulled off the road and then pulled back on right behind me. I knew I was sunk. Then out of nowhere some crazy dude on a banshee four-wheeler drives right between me and the cop. The cop slammed on his breaks and started chasing the guy on the banshee, I of course got back up to 90 to try and get as far away from the cop as I could while he was busy getting the banshee driver. I was totally scared, but I got off without a ticket. I don't know what happened to the four wheeler driver but if he didn't just about get hit by the cop I would have gotten a ticket for sure. Thats the closest I have ever gotten to getting pulled over.

just got one the other day. Cop clocked me at 117 in a 70....my speedo shows 103 (now I know how much it's off ). Weird thing was I pulled over real quick when I saw him cross the median. He didn't even have to put his lights on. NO CHASE. He let me off with an 80 ina 70. that was one close call
