460 in a Ranger WOW

Well guys my friend just got done with his 460 swap in a 1988 Ranger. This thing is insane is a 5 speed, wow is it a tight fit even with the finders cut out and the firewall pouned back in some spots. He rebuilt it put dif heads and a radical cam in not sure on all the specs yet but its insane. Well when he brakes the new motor in hes gettin racin seats and belts, tubbin it and mabey a nx kit not sure tho. But he took me for a ride in it, it has side pipes (very loud and mean sounding) well a guy in a vett rolled up and was like nice soundin truck wanna run my friend was like nah its not broke in yet so the guy in the vette go's yeah dident think it had any *****, so my friend gives it about 1/2 gas and this thing goes complety sideways it was so cool. Cant wait till it gets broke in and I get my Licens back.

My buddy put a 302 in his ranger. It had 3.08 gears in the stock rearend and a granny low 4-speed.He had some wider BFG t/'s on it.And well lets just say it was pointless.I had some slapper bars on my s-10.I didn't like them so I gave them to him.It helped but not much.He sold that truck. The motor was rebuilt, edlebrock intake,Hooker headers and holley carb. And a mild cam.It was quick after you could get it to hook up.He raced my sonoma with a 4.3 in it.I beat him till about 45mph.Then he hooked up and left me like I was sitting still.

Now He is building another one. With a supercoupe thunderbird motor and turbo.

ok i know it's a different platform but same concept. i have a friend who's prob. gonna buy a ranger and put a 350 in it, his stepdad's prob. gonna build the motor for him and he can build motor's he's got a 383 waitin to go into a 67?(i'm not positive) camaro right now and it's gonna run 12's i think but that's not why he's buildin it. anyway i'm wonderin how much suspension work this thing is gonna need, i mean i've seen truck with big motors spin all day and the only thing i can think of to keep the *** end down is hella suspension, how much would it cost? he thinks he will be runnin with LT1's in it. plz tell me how much suspension would be and how much work is gonna have to be done. thanks guys and good luck gettin that 460's power to the floor
