Sad News For The Street Racing Scene
Most of us probably saw The Slow and The Riciest, and have seen what it has done to the scene. Well one of my relatives is an asistant director whos working on The Fast and The Furious 2 and he said that there werent gonna be more muscle cars. I told him that the movie needed lots of muscle and less rice if he wanted it to really take off. He said there wouldnt be any muscle cars, instead they got rid of the RICE. no civics with gay **** all over them. no idoits talking about **** they dont have a clue about. there will be lots of high end imports like skylines, and supras and cars like that. He said he would try and get some more muscle into it, but the story and script is all pretty much done. he also said there were parts when the characters made fun of the RICERS with slow wanna be cars. maybe this will stop the bum rush of autozones everywhere to get those "phat" wings and altezzas. just a word from the inside.

I'm glad they steped away from the rice side and decided to make some real imports, but they definatly need more domestic cars.
Someone needs to come out with a Domestic movie. Something like two Lane Blacktop but not as boring lol. But then everyone will start buying slow Domestic cars and try to make them fast.

I'm sure the second movie will be just as retarded as the first.

That's the only reason all the companies are making all those stupid parts for them, to make a HUGE profit! Those kids don't realize the companies are ripping them off..
I've been trying to invent some new ***** mod just to make some $$ off of them... I think of it as spanking them in more ways that one!

ya the new movie is set in miami. The send good ole paul walker down there to tackle the street racing scene because he did such a good job in the last movie. I also believe ja rule is going to be his partner in crime. And people have been saying the kid from the mountain dew commercial that drives the trans am will have a vin diesel like role. Anyhow who really cares? who wants to make a good street racing movie with more domestics? let me know then maybe i'll be interested.

OMG!!! MY EYES THEY BURN!!! How could they rice out an LT1 and a Vette? Do they hold nothing holy? There is enough rice from those phots to stop world hunger forever!!!
Well the Vette really is not riced out, just get rid of the Mircosoft sponsoring.
From what I heard there is supposed to be a Skyline that uses not 1, not 2 like our hero Paul Walker, but 3, yes you heard me 3, 3 of the big bottles of naaawwwwsss!!!

Check out that Dodge truck though, I thought it looked pretty sweet. And the Corvette wasn't riced out, and it was pretty cool looking, other than the Microsoft sponsorship.
A few of the cars are neat, several of them make me want to gouge my eyes out.

That poor Dakota..............................
I want to steal it off the set and take that shltty bodykit off, someone has to save that poor abused creature. The V-6 Camaro is a joke, the only reason its a 6 is if they used a Z-28 it would have been harder to fake having the imports beat the domestics, which I'm sure is the whole point of the movie. And on the protege's, eclipses, civics, whatever, all I can say is that is sad, really really sad. I respect RX-7's, Supras, and I love Skylines, but not these riced-out ones.

awwwwww sh!tzu..
I was hoping it not to be *****, there is rice wich is what F & da F is all about. and then there are the real imports that have no decals, appropriate spoilers, no lights, and run low 14's-13's. Those earn my respect.

Although he claims the cars wont be riced out in this one i have seen pictures and every single car is crappy with stickers and the whole nine yards. it looks like they have expanded on the custom side decals as they have anime pictures and such on the sides of cars from what i could see.

And of course, they had to have a huge Pep Boys billboard in one of those pictures. They are the friggin rice sanctuary. They have all those damn rice commercials on the speed channel with that mexican guy from F&F and his riced out RSX.

Well, Mark...(reply to what you said in your first post on this thread)...
It won't make them realize that they're stupid, you know that. What it will do is cause them to keep on "Ricing" and "Clowning". Why? Because when people say rice, we aren't talking about them. That's what they think.

With a 150 shot of nitrous the 97 Corvette has 555 hp at the flywheel.
Couldn't he have gotten that without nitrous? Dammit, this is all about nitrous isn't it. Unneccessary on quality cars.

The following isn't particularly directed to you 3gEclipseGT:
I like how these non sports car import drivers act like their car has power because it can "rev" as it's called. Because of this "revving" phenomenom they only like to race on the highway.
The so called "revving" is due to their engine not being able to make acceptable power levels in the 'street RPM' powerband- but that's why they are economy cars in the first place.
Who here does most of their running at 7,000 - 8,000 RPMs?
I don't, because my V8 makes the power where it's needed most.
Brute force of torque coming off a stop or a 1/4 mile race doesn't really count with them- because after all their engines can "rev" and our's can't..

i would love to be a cop on the night that movie comes out.
when the first one came out, the ricers were out in force at my local movie theater, trying to rev up their fart cannons on this little like one lane strip right in front of the theater (it is a huge theater though).
i would just sit on the highway right outside the exit and wait for idiots to race...

The main car will be a Skyline, in the F&F 2. It's owned by the same guy who owned the Supra, lol.
In the DVD, it basically says that the whole movie was based off of the article "Racer X", which is comprised of some cool stuff, and some total
However, they bash muscle in the article as "out with the old, in with the new." Hollywood...well, they based a whole movie off a single, bad, article - need I say more?

2) Yes I have. Sure it's a big difference...if fact, it's very hard for one simple undeniable fact- Weight Transfer. RWD and AWD have a clear advantage over FWD in this instance, but RWD's and AWD's purpose wasn't with the intent of economy either.
In general, my gripe wasn't directly pointed at you- but pointed at the fact that the "4-banger economy car-race car wanna' be" thing is getting rediculous.
I came across a page in Jeg's in the Sport-Compact section. On page 212, under the 4 cyl cam selection, it's headered "Go V8 hunting!".
Hunt what V8? Maybe Jeg's is referring to hunting down an RV motorhome with one of those big block 460's.
Let's put something into perspective: mod for mod, or stock for stock, an engine with a lower displacement will never supercede an engine with higher displacement in terms of power.
If you want to compare a 4 cyl. to a V8 engine properly, you going to have to do it by generation, because new technology yields changes in engine development. That's why we have engine's today producing more power with better gas mileage than the older generations of engines.
So let's compare one the newest 4 cyl. engines to one of the newest V8's...1.6L DOCH V-TEC B16A to the 5.7L LS6 Port Injected (405 horse, 400 tq.) currently used in the 'Vette.
Wait....if your like me, you already saying "where is the comparison". Folks, both of these engines employ the latest technology in engine managment, so how can you possibly compare a 4 cyl to V8? You can't.....but everyone is quick to judge an older V8, like a TPI 305, when comparing it to newer engines, especially 4 cyl's. Of course that V8's power looks small when compared to the newer technology of today....but what does it look like when you compare that 1986 305 TPI to a 1986 4 cyl??

That movie is going to be ten times worse than the first one. Every single car that I saw was riced out! Including the domestics. The last movie made me sick, this one will put me in a coma. I mean seriously, it only gives us a bad name (import guy here), did you see that Protege bwahahahaha. What a tool. Cars like those make me sick every time I see them.
