Monkie. Just kidding. That sounds like a freaky 4 wheeler. I always wanting to take an old 4 wheeler and make it into a tiny roadster with some old subaru engine and trans.

I remember we used one of those 350cc engines and built a mini-formula car in high school. could do donuts and other stuff in it. sequential 6-speed and the whole thing weighed like 200 lbs. the teacher said we were psycho.

man. the first I drove it the throttle stuck. luckily we didn't put much gas in and it died before the upcoming turn.

one time the teacher left for lunch and we took it out to the 400m running track. we were able to get it into the middle of 4th gear. hehehe. an hour after we got it back inside the tires were still hot with scrape marks going sideways across them. damn. left me grinning for the rest of the week!

buddy of mine's dad put together a banshee for drag racing a 300ft dirt drag strip. but his has a 600cc Ninja motor on it he's got a stutter box on it and ****e. i dunno what his times are but i know he is 325lbs and he can lay down over the tank and handle bars and it will stand him straight up even with 26" tall tires and massive swing arm.

I have actually seen people race those thing on the streets in chicago.

A few are dangerous...but they sounded like 4 strokers to me.

What I love is when you go to the dragstrip and see the snow-mobiles running.

Last time I was there a guy was cutting high 11's!!!

I race mx on 4-wheelers.I have a honda 250r.It is an 86.It beats stock and banshee's with pipes. When ever you port banshee's and get into big bores or strokers is when they get nuts. The motor was designed for the RZ350 street bike.Prettty much the same thing except the banshee has no powervalves like the bikes do.They don't have to much low end stock because of this.B

If yoy guys think banshee's are quick.suzuki made a 500 2 stroke.Called the lt500r or qaudzilla.Faster than a banshee.

By the way no qaud has ever been able to do 100mph stock. The qaudzilla is te fastest production qaud ever and it did something like 85 ish.The fastest year for the banshee was 87.They changed some stuff on the motor.Like porting and other things. They run about 70-75 stock.Depending on alot of things.

You can see my bike on my web-site.

i'll backup everything he's said, stock he said stock have seen time slips of both r's one a 500r going 13's@92with the front plastic off, an there might be a few mods on it, an by no way am i saying this was fastest quad ever but it was a serious effort. guy said the frontend was getting light at 85-86 with it on so he took it off an got 92 out of it an i saw the slip no an i own one

now i love the banshee an it has a clasic power band, way up in the stratisfear has a stumble till it hits about 6grand an then all hell breaks loose but stock it really doesn't top out that good its geared for the lawers i think. you just got to love it, it's not for sissy's, people are building these till insanity there cutting them an adding another cylinder an from what i hear there's a mich engine builder putting turbo's on an he's kicking butt
i:hail: to the lengendary 250r for given the ziila its due mines not stock an comes on at about 3-4grand. i was born in 55 an i'm getting to old to give it the ride it can handle but if you want to get sideways on a flat track i might have a few turns in me an you better bring lunch its all in the the thumb you gatta hold it down. just pulling your chain i can't resist talking crap about quads an the zilla gets very little respect lets not get into the twist debate
but i got to repeat the banshee is a great machine.
i trail ride mostly an ride in the back untill the trail gets wide then i'm coming to the front

My 250r is bored .020.Ported by a local shop,FMF pipe and silencer,Boyesen reeds and some other stuff.Right now the motor is down getting a 330 cylinder and a fresh lower end. With the setup listed I was running right next to piped banshee's.I would pull them till about 4th gear. Then they would catch up and run pretty even. This was in the sand.

I will give banshee's props.By buddy has one that has longer rods in it.Also ported,FTz drag pipes that runs on alcohol. In the 300ft it runs 4.7 seconds. The thing is nuts.

My dad has had 2 qaudzilla. One was built by LRD in a LT250r frame. The other was an 87 that was bored .080.FMF pipe, ported,FMF ram valve and some other stuff. It was insane.Besides my buddies banshee it is the fastest bike I have rode.It mint to.I think there is a pic of it on my web page with my R.

I love 4-wheelers more than cars.Right now I have to finish my 300ex and my R before I start working on my camaro.

Yeah they are adding another cylinder to banshee's.The guy putting turbo's on them owns a company called hypertech.120hp out of a basicly stock banshee.Look it up in dirtwheels if you want. That is rear wheel Hp to.Completly insane. The fastest ones are the one's with rotax snowmobile engine's.They are pretty crazy to.

The snowmobiles that were running at the track had a rubber track and wheels on the front skis.

When I first saw them back a few years ago, I laughed so hard I almost cried.
