Car: 3 3rd Gen F-bodies and 7 others
Engine: 305 CFI, 350 TPI & 3.8 Turbo V-6

If memory serves me right I think those Quad 4 engines put out about 150-160 Hp. Some of them were H.O engines, and were pretty quick. I remember cruising in my buddy's 1983 Z28 with the 305 HO---> He swears it was a H.O.
Were out one night and hit a light against a 1989 Grand Am that had a Quad4 and a stick. The "New at the time" Grand Am smoked his *** by about 3-4 car lengths to 70. Shocked both of us. I remember shortly after that he was looking at a 5.0 '87 Stang 5 spd, but he never bought it.

The H.O. Quad 4, with a 5 speed has 180 hp, and 160 ft./lbs. torque. Quick little car I must say. Race him your Laser, because that is a definite low 15 sec car. I do not think that Grand Am would be that fast.

i know in the 1992 chevy beretta quad 4's had (180hp/160tq) after that year they went down in hp&tq to 175hp/155tq in 1993
and in 1994 i has 170hp/150tq after that they drop that motor but still great amount of hp and tq out of a 2.3l
this is where i got my info http://www.beretta.net/model_info/1992.htm

Ok I raced him. I had just left his house and He was driving in back of me so I slowed down so he could get up next to me. When he got next to me trying to pass me I stepped on it 3ed he keep up till the turbo kick in I passed him by about 6 car lengths before I slowed back down. Now he wants to buy the car off me.

Engine: LG4

You obviously raced him in the AWD-T, right? Cause the 2.8L v6 (I used to own an 89 Firebird) only puts out 135 HP.

A good friend of mine has a 95 Talon Tsi (AWD-T), and that thing is quick! I just never realized the RS was an AWD-T....

I know for Talons, the Tsi is, and for Eclipses its the GS-X....

I'm kinda curious to know if the Laser RS is an AWD-T (and it wasn't a typo), so I know if I see one on the road

Neighbor has a 93 grand am GT with the 2.4 quad 4. High 16 second car, at least with him driving, he wasn't launching very hard but its not like you can with FWD and a 5 speed.

Car: 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham 2dr Coupe
Engine: 403 Olds v8, bored .030 over
Transmission: 350 T.H. 3A, shift kit
The 95 Grand Am Quad 4 HO has 185 hp and hits 60 in 7.something and I think the 1/4 was something like high 15s. I can't remember where I saw that, so it could be slightly exaggerated. I know someone who used to have one though. And those numbers are not that far off as far as I could see. Maybe 1/2 a second.

yes its a awd turbo. for the laser the rs is the turbo but they also called the 2.0l none turbo a rs so the only way you know if its a turbo is on the side it says turbo. and the laser was not awd till 1992. 1994 was also the last year of the car.
