my iroc vs vr4

I went to taco bell to get some food tonight in the first car in the sig. Anyways im about to turn left sitting at a light and a vr4 pulls up next to me turning left also (2 lanes to turn left in) he has a HOT chic with him. So i was just sitting there lopping like crazy and listening to some collective sole on the radio. He asked me if i would get on it for him when the light turns green and we get going strait threw the intersection. I said the only way i will get on it is if we race. We said it looks like im going to loose but sure. I said i tell you what, You get on it when the light turns green all the way threw the intersection and ill see if i can catch ya. He said sure ill see what i can do. SWEET, the light turns green and i let him go. Im still on the gas but once im all strait on the perpindicular road he was 2-3 cars ahead of me. I was thinking oh ****, this is great i give him the jump and he smears me all over the place in front of this hot girl. NOPE i pulled like crazy. The moment i got on it (in 2nd gear) the car spun like crazy and then took off. It was flying. By the time i got off of it i was doing about 90mph. Stop at the next light and he said his ears still hurt from when i flew by. we complemented each other and went our ways. i think i had about 5 cars on him when we where done. Fun little race, glad the guy was cool about the whole thing.

BTW: it was a nice black one, lowered with some fat cans on the back. Im sure he had some small mods at least.

Good kill. Did his car start off REALLY slow? If not, then he definately had some mods. Even with one turbo for low end and one for top end, those cars are just too heavy off the line. Watch out once they get moving though. Ever take that iroc to the track?

yeap, im going to make a new thread about it though. I just went yesterday. It sucked butt, but read the thread "wow, crappy track times" by me it'll tell you all about it.

BTW: it was kinda slow off the line, i thought it would move alittle quicker. Your probably right about it moving quicker once you get it moving because it was hanging behind me even though he was kinda far back there.

i dont think he was a good driver because my buddy has a 95 vr4 and he can drop it at 3k and take off like a bullet and the two turbos work at the same time ones not for low end and one for top u dont want to mess with a vr4 and a good driver.
i was in his car the other nite and he has a heavy *** stereo in back here comes a ls1 camero he was the only one in the car and no stereo it was empty and we beat him by 2 cars

he wants a remach because hes got a 125 shot of nos

my buddy now has a blow off valve , boost controller, intake, pulley.

go to 3si.org and look at the perf kits for like 2 grand i beleive u can beat a Z06 vette

if you put a racing clutch on it u can drop the clutch all the way up to 6k

ohhh theres no way u will take it off the line they have over 300 horses stock

i raced this guy with my 386 stroker it has about 400rwhp and 475 ftlbs i dont think this guy had much of a chance against me anyways. I dont care if he was a good driver it was for ****s and giggles. He seemed like he knew he was going to be beat anyways.


camero= camaro??????

BTW: i dont have a "one wheel wonder" on either one of my cars. Look in the sig and you will see what i have. VR4 arent that fast anyways, i know if you do **** to them then they will be quick but not untouchable my any means with a camaro. im sure my lt-1 could have given him a run.

I don't know why people think VR4s are that fast stock. Maybe its the twin turbo awd that makes tham think they are 11 sec cars stock. They can be extremely fast when modded but stock they aren't. Oh yeah stock for stock an Ls1 Camro will beat a VR4. Given if the drivers are equal and a Z06 you can forget about it.

Yeah, stock they're good for about 14.0 but its still at a lower MPH than normal for that ET because they can get off the line quick. Very quick.

Someone sayed forget about the z06 ummmm'
they do have the kits like i said on 3si.org hell i know a guy on the web page who has the viper killer kit on it
and yes i know its alot of ****t and money but bigger turbos and more boost and all that does alot
and dont get me wrong im not all for the vr4 im partial to the 2001 trans am and i do have a top 15 sports car magazine which rates the vr4 at 10 or so i beleive and the trans am at 4 and yes the stock ls1 camero was like 8 or 9 . so i do know what they run stock but his isnt

BTW: they dont even make the vr4 anymore so what kind of magazine are you reading? The last year they came out they had an AWD 320 hp twin turbo v6 for about 40k i beleive. I dont think thats a very good buy atol considering a 33k SS could out run one of those things. Thats just me, and i know im not comparing apples to apples there either.

Hi. This isn't FoSho this is his friend with the vr-4. I don't want to start anything at all, because I love American muscle just as much as my vr-4. I just had to reply because I hate it when people talk about cars when they don't know what they're talking about. Not saying that all of you are wrong but...

First I'll correct my friend by saying that the performance kits are on Dynamicracing.com If you're interested, go to dynamicracing.com and look under staged turbo upgrades. I don't wanna be an ***, but it's very possible to beat a Z06 and a viper for that matter.

Also the vr-4 does not run a 14 sec. 1/4. The first Gen. had 300 hp and ran a 13.9, while the 95 had 320 and a 6 speed, and ran 13.5 It's estimated that you gain about 10 hp per psi. and all they did was crank it up from 9 to 11 lbs/in^2. The first gen. had popup headlights. That's how you could've told if it were a 1st or 2nd gen.

Also the magazine he was referring to was Populer Mechanics. It was an issue about 3 years ago that lists the top 15 (I think).

Also not to be obnoxious, but the vr-4 was 50K new.

And I also don't know 1 vr-4 driver that thinks he's an 11 sec. car STOCK.

Also an lt1 stock for stock shouldn't stand a chance against a vr-4. Considering drivers...

Sorry if this was a waste of your time, or even mine, but I had to get a few things straight.

hate to mention this either, but when you corrected my friends spelling of camAro you happened to say "My any means" Usually don't notice stuff like that, but I can also be critical.

Any car can be made to beat a Z06 but I was talking about stock vs stock. A stock Vr4 isn't on the level of a stock Z06 and they are in the same price range(or should I say were). I'm quite sure a VR4 is capable of running a 13 stock I'll give it that. But Z06s can pull low 12s stock. And SS are capable high of low 13s to high 12s also. When I refered to people thinking VR4s run 11s stock I wasn't refering to the owners but to the average person who doesn't know any better. But I'll give credit where credit is do cause any of the boosted awd cars out there can run with fast with very little mods .

thanks for the replies guys. The vr4 i raced was a fist gen, it had pop up head lights. Anyways, im about to buy some afr heads pritty soon so hopefully the car will have about 420 rwhp and about 480 ft.lbs. I think the car is very capable of hitting those #'s if not better. Then i wont have to worry about getting beat to much always nice to see a 3rd gen haulin azz. later guys
