5.0 mustang vs taurus SHO

who would win? I don't drive either one, just thought that since the SHO had like 260HP or something. I wanna laugh at some mustang owners!

Sorry, but there aren't many Mustangs the SHO is going to outrun stock for stock. They were known to be low to mid 15 second cars and would be decent competition for for some of the automatic 'stangs. The newer SHO's are slow. Not sure where you got the 260 hp number either That LG4 of yours, however, would be no match for the SHO

Well said Nic,
There are a few older SHO's running mid 14's...none faster that I have personaly seen. I would expect most V8 mustangs with mods to be at least running mid/low 14's.
SHO's are a good match for 305 thirdgens. From a stoplight the advantage goes to the thirdgen, from a roll or highway the SHO may take the win. They have a Yahama motor.

I have seen low 15s for lightly modded SHOs, but thats about it. I wouldn't be worried next to one!!

And before this gets locked because of the lack of thirdgen criteria, what about an SHO vs 85_ZED28s car!!!! I got $$$ on the SHO!!

my brother street raced a older SHO in my Z and was only a couple lengths behind him. id say stock they are mid 15sec cars (the kid who owned it ran a 15.7 stock). this dude claims that once he gets Naaws hes gonna be in the 11s. i REALLY wanted to humiliate him in the Vette after he got the juice, but he blew his tranny before i could. damn
