piking up a to vehicle.... help needed
hey there everybody well i finally got my camaro all hooked up and now its time to show it off, well ive decided to tow it to and from shows heres what im looking at
1992 ford areostar... yes i know its a ford, and how much of a sin it is to display that name on the board but, im also looking at a 1991 chevy astro. both will be capable of towing the camaro and trailer easily. but eres my dillema
for the chevy i have recived a carfax report from the dealer (ick i hate dealers!), but the ford is from a private owner, and i was kinda hopeing someone with a car fax account could look up this vin, ohh yeah by the way they want less for the ford then the chevy

From my telekenetic carfax abilities I've found that the car is prone to power steering failure, brake failure, electrical system failure, and was produced with cheap parts. I also found that the door locks and window motors will probably die soon, and that the ford dealer doesn't give a damn whether it dies or not because the warranty is expired. Good luck!

If youre going to be doing any serious towing get something with a v8. That said i towed an engineless camaro from long island to ohio with my 2001 4cyl s-10
We had an 86 aerostar and it was a miserable piece of ****. Went through 3 trannys in 90k miles, had all sorts of other stupid problems, doors not closing, doors not opening, seats not going back in, glass shattering when you closed the door, i dont know what else.
I'd lean toward the astro. That 4.3 will run just about forever if its been taken care of. Put on an external tranny cooler for towing no matter what you get if its an auto.
