hard question

Ignition components are in my sig. My plugs are gapped at .052. What are some tangible effects of plug gap being too great? What might you hear or feel?

It would help if you knew how to list your sig...

Back in the old days of conventional ignition, a plug with a wide gap would result in a good idle, but poor high engine load running; a plug with a narrow gap would result in poor idle, but good high engine load running.

But with today's high output ignitions and the aftermarket stuff available, this rule probably goes out the window.

How easy is it on your engine to change plugs? If it is not that hard then try changing around the gap. Maybe moving down to a .045 gap might work better. A find some one to measure performance not just your butt.

It takes about 20 minutes to change all 8. If I notice anything going wrong, I'll go to .045.

My sig was listed the first time but then when I edited the post, I must have taken it out. A simple error.
