Right now I'm stuck and am in need of advice. This is for my 76 Pu, 355, flatop pistons, 270H cam, Summit aluminum rods 5.7, xcellerator intake, headders all of the good stuff. Yet I am running 58cc 305 heads #14014416 with 1.94 intakes stuffed in and the stock 1.5 exh valves, these heads are very ported and the combustion chambers have also been modified. These work great but I feel they are holding me back because mods like upgrading to headders dident improve performance at all. I have another set of LT1 heads 75cc #3973487 like the ones I have on my Firbird avalible cheap $50.
Would the loss of compression but gain of runner volume be worth swapping heads? The one advantage I see with swapping heads would be running pump gas with no detonation.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.
I would jump at the heads because im 80% that i'll be able to swing a SCharger this year, but I dont look forward to porting another set of heads. I guess I'll give them a try.
Thanks!
