what is the most common repair for code 42?
i found this somewhere:
Electronic Spark Timing (EST) circuit - open or shorted to ground during engine run
OR Direct Ignition System (DIS) fault - bypass circuit open or shorted ground during engine run
OR Fuel Cutoff Relay Circuit - open or shorted to ground
how do i fix the problem once its diagnosed?

I got the same error code today and i have no clue what it takes to fix. My car lurches at slow speeds and i just replaced the MAF sensor and other things! Let me know if you figure it out, i'm clueless , thanks in advance, wish i could help
