305 Power House

I'm keeping both cars, so take a look at this idea, and don't tell me I'm wasting my time when I could be modding the L98, cuase its first. Now....

305, Vortech Aluminum Heads,
Vortech intake, swap from TBI - TPI using one of those RAM Jet tpi things, 52mm throttle body

BigGER cAM ( STILL NOT DESIDED)

150NOS shot, ( CHP did it so you can do it on a 305 so shut up)

Super charger

Think that could get an LO3 somewhere into the 300hp range?

CHP maginze has thiers pushing 13.57 at the track and they promise high 12s in the next issuse.

What do you think of my setup, yeah its not preicse or anythign, but a first base idea. If I do it, real details and planning come later.

For the L98, I'm gonna throw it away and buy a crate 402

um.. this is a joke, right? 150shot on a stock motor would put you over 300, as would the supercharger.. Put both on and that's quite a bit more. If you're throwing away a 350 and using a 305 I'm gonna have to smack you.

I'd say go for it. You'll have something very unique. When you throw away the L98, just throw it in my direction.

When we're both done, you can say, "Believe it or not, it's a 305." And I can say, "Believe it or not, I got the engine from a guy who was building a 305!"

I didd say I own two cars now, and RS with a 305 and an IROC with a 350, the 350 IROC will become a crate 4__ something with juice.

The 305 is a daily driver that might be used to test ideas

I wish I had the money to do that stuff. Next winter or the one after, i'm putting a 350 in my car and then hopefully a supercharger.

you can't honestly think that car is going to be reliable at all? if you do it, it will be interesting to see how long it will last but i don't think that your engine is gonna last more than 6 months with that set up. and you'll definitly get into the 300's with that set up.

From zero to dumb-*** in 13.35 seconds

Dude you've got better things to spend your money on. Don't waste the cash just so you can get to the grocery store quicker in your daily driver. Like you said... you have two cars... one is the performer and the other the mule. Keep it that way and save the loot for the high performance ride.

Don't listen to them brother... save your coin for the other ride. You could turn the IROC into a real beast! I to have dual cars. A 97 Z28 with a slew of modifcations turning 12.3 in the quarter and my 89 Formula 350 with only a Flowmaster cat back system. It came with the car when I bought it. Probably turning high 14's in the quarter... don't know cause I never ran it at the track. It's mearly for daily driving.

I'd suggest you do the same and save your cheese.
