Bad TPS attn: Calgarians
So, i boosted some yahoo a while ago and ever since then my car idled a little high, then my car threw me codes 21 & 22 both TPS related. The idle has been steadily increasing and has even seen as much as 2000 in park. The idle fluctuates during an idle and sounds like someone may be butterflying the gas pedal (very slowly). Are these all symptoms of the TPS or could something else be coming into play?
If this is clearly the TPS, how much is it for a new one? How hard is it to install, i mean it doesnt look to hard it's right out in the open too... Would anyone in Calgary be willing to lend me a hand?

I've boosted with mine and never had any trouble...maybe a vacuum leak? I've got a 305 TBI so it might not be the same as yours. Nice to know someone from Calgary is on here. I'm up in Dalhousie...how about you?

Wish I could help with the TPS but you are looking at the original fuel injection idiot

TPS is pretty straight forward, two screws hold it in/on.
If it's a '90-92 setup, just replace as is.
Pre-90 you should set the TPS idle voltage at .54vdc, info should still be on the Tech Central on the main page.
That said, I don't think the TPS is at fault, I'd look for a vacuum leak as mentioned before or an IAC problem.

Ok boys i dont know where to post this so i'm going to place it in a few spots... Moderators, please delete this if it doesnt fit on the board.
My car diesd the other day, COULDNT boost it just sat there and clicked, thought it was the starter or the solenoid, sent it in for a checkup...
this is what they found.
My fuel injectors arent pulsing ?!?!?!?!!
They say it's the ECM.. I've never even heard of a bad ECM. I thought it might be the PROM but not an ECM, perhaps some moisture got into the ECM and ruined it over the winter? any help is appreciated here Thanos

could also be that the ecm isnt receiveing any reference pulses from the distributer. Check for a bad EST module/pickup coil asmb.

as for teh clicking... That would be unrelated to a bad ECM. even w/o the injectors /ECM wokring, it will still turn over, just wont start. The shop may be trying to pull a fast one on ya.
