Delay wipers not working all the time
89 GTA
I've taken the wiper motor apart, cleaned it, re-greased gears and checked all cables and connections. When going from off the delay, the wiper motor 'clicks' but doesn not move. Low and High settings work ALL the time. If I tap the unit enough and try it again, the delay wipers work. If I tap the unit some more, they stop. Is this a common problem out there? I wanted to check the electrical board that goes to the large connector but I couldn't fish it out the plastic housing (without breaking it).
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Steve,
Teh wiper motor delay mechanism isn't very serviceable. It can be done if you have a lot of time and patience, but it may be time to cut the bait and get a new wiper motor. Just my opinion. Then again, this is from a guy who replaced a hot wire in a MAF just to see if it could be done. DU-UH!!
